Everyone's waking up at once, covered in bits of rubble, temporarily without abilities and with a lurking headache. The castle looms around them, irrepressibly gray, huge and silent. The only noises are the people, rustling as they extract themselves from their sarcophagi and look for exits along the arching walkways.

Better take a look around, and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

Ow... [Desmond is staring, quite unhappily, up at the ceiling. He wasn't expecting where he'd end up once he shook himself free of the sarcophagus, but here was not it. He sits up, shaking his head against the pain firmly occupying his skull.]

Where...? [He looked around, frowning. Where was he? He tentatively draws his knees towards his chest, moving to stand.] Uhh, hello?

[kaderp]

[Kadar whirls a little at someone else's voice, once he's on his feet.]

--Hello? [someone else is here and conscious and not a skeleton, this is definitely cause to be excited!

upside: they're alive!

downside: they could be a Templar. Kadar's not sure yet. ... he probably shouldn't have just given away his location.]

[kaderp]

[... where is he. he is not in the temple, and wherever he is, it's distinctly alarming and he'd prefer not to be here at all-- but he can see light. He considers, pushing on what might be the door-- nope. Punch. No, but now his hand hurts. He grumbles a little to himself before violently shaking the-- whatever he's in-- and when it finally falls over, he sits in the rubble for a second, blinking.

...well, at least there's light now, but what's going on?]

Oh Goddess, there are other people in these things? [Willow's shocked voice comes from close nearby, where she's just emerged from a stone coffin of her own.]

Are you alright?

[angsts]

[After breaking free, Dynos simply collapses onto his knees and glances around him, before staring at his forearm.

... For quite a while, as he's evidently still too shocked to do anything productive.]

Why am I...?

[seventeenth]

Hey, you alright? [Guess what, Dynos, there's a Desmond standing above you, offering you a hand. He's frowning, looking equal parts concerned and confused.] Looks like we all took a bit of a spill.

[permutant]

[Raven is sticking to walls and trying to be less noticeable, but she clearly wants to approach people and help and find out what's going on. She has no idea what's going on, she's scared and lost and she really just wants Charles right now. She's edging around the room and looking quite obviously torn between hiding and stepping out.

Unfortunately for her, it's very hard for her to hide when she's blue and her eyes are almost glowing yellow in the dark. She kind of stands out.]

[Coming out of a sarcophagus? Totally creepy and weird. Fortunately, the grogginess and headache are enough to hold back any strong reaction from Serge, who stretches his arms and looks around. Considering how dim the place is, it isn't long before something bright catches his attention . . .

It's a girl. A blue girl. Whoa?

. . . well. Any surprise that he might have shown goes away and he straightens, calling out softly.]

Need help?

[This is not Monterrigioni.

At first, Ezio thinks he's back in the Vault, in Roma, and somehow that bastard Rodrigo has taken a chance during his escape to entrap him here. But as time passes he realizes it's not the place he knows, and as the sarcophagus finally crashes to the floor, the light is almost blinding. It takes him a second to adjust, and surprisingly, he's clumsy in moving- a trait an assassin is shamed in having, if he ever does.]

Mio dio, che cosa è questo?

[those robes--? they're different than the ones Kadar knows, but it's still enough to make him hesitate and look back for a second glance. perhaps a scholar--? he ventures a step closer towards the stranger, moving as lightly as he can.]

Hello?

[rationality]

[Harry is fairly sure he's dreaming, but that has been tested with much pinching, so now he's just confused and very concerned. He doesn't think anyone can break into Hogwarts, and no one was even after him. Did he get lost in the castle? Is this some test that Dumbledore set up? Ugh, well, he's a scientist, so he'll do what he's supposed to do first - investigate. Gather some evidence and make a judgement from there.

So tiny boy with the lightning bolt-shaped scar is avoiding everyone and walking around the room looking for exits. He has his wand out, although he hasn't realised it won't do much good yet.]

If it has a way out, it's going to be bottom floor...

[Climbing down away from these stupid sarcophagi onto the floor it is, then.]

[Willow is already there, carefully tracing her fingers along the walls as if looking for secret exits. In reality she's trying again and again to get her magic back, to get it working. She can feel it slowly trickling back in, bit by bit, but it's much too little right now to do anything with. Trying for impressions from the castle itself was coming up with a lot of nothing.

She sighs in aggravation, and when she turns around, there's Harry.] Oh! [Oh gosh, he's so... little. And cute.] Hi there.

[enthusiast]

[Sofia hasn't felt this claustrophobic and helpless since last year, when she'd been kidnapped and hastily bound and blindfolded. It's immediately uncomfortable, the cool stone nothing like the upholstered couch she'd dozed off on, and the darkness nothing like the mid-afternoon sunshine of the garden. Her breath catches in her throat immediately, though she resolves to stay calm.

Fortunately, the light filtering through the edges of the "lid" tells her there's a way out, and her hands immediately move to the lid to push. It budges, just slightly, and a large crack runs up the middle. She has to brace herself against the back of the sarcophagus to get enough force to push it again. More of the lid shifts, crumbling, but she's not quite free yet.]

Hello? Hello? What's going on?!

[Help a lady out :(]

[--oh, that's a woman! Civilian In Danger sense tingling. Kadar looks over and tries to focus on which sarcophagus her voice is coming from. That one--?]

Hello?

[Sollux groans and pushes himself up, getting to his feet and looking around with narrowed eyes. What a headache. And what a creepy, weird place.

It takes him only a second to realize what feels particularly odd.

He doesn't hear the ticking.]

Okay, where the fuck ith thith now?

[...where is this? Good lord what are you, Sollux. Pardon Ezio for staring.

He speaks after a good moment or so of studying the thing, not sure what to say at first.]

I am sure many of us would like to know.

[sagacity]

[Serge is just leaning against a sarcophagus not too far from the one he came out of with a hand resting on his side. He's physically and mentally exhausted, he has a headache, and someone apparently thought abducting him would be so thrilling when all he's good for is being beaten up.

He lets out an airy sigh.]

I'm too old for this.

[stillshinigami]

[And that sarcophagus is moving. Shaking as if someone had just rocked it from the inside. A murmur could be heard from the inside and it rocked again.]

[guiltapalooza]

[Willow can't help how she reacts when she wakes up in total blackness, stone surrounding her: she screams, if briefly. Her fear makes her kick out against the stone, and before long she's broken out, breathing heavy as she looks around swiftly.

She reaches out to her magic, and-- nothing.] Okay, [she says to herself in the tone of someone desperately trying to stave off panic,] this suddenly got a lot more worrisome. What is going on?!

[Her eyes are wide. Nothing freaks her out more than not having access to her magic, and whoever's nearest is getting latched onto for desperate solidarity.]

[All the racket attracted a skinny troll, who is standing by the coffin and reaches towards her to steady her as she stands, still freaking out.]

Hey, woah, calm the fuck down. You're okay.

[papshooshing]

[ you know, it wouldn't be the first time that Karkat has fallen asleep then awoke to find himself somewhere else. the City had curses that would transform the landscape. even the goddamn era. so this? this he just thinks is another one of those stupid curses.

he picks himself up, patting at his shirt to get the dirt off. and grunts. ]

What? No fucking change of wardrobe to go along with this shitty display of forced roleplay? Gee, what will those grubfuckers think of next.

[ and now? probably off to find Sollux. and Eridan. the dead fish and his moirail would be utterly lost without their shining example of leaderdome. ]

[Willow hears someone's voice, and veers in that direction. The room is open enough that once she's clear of the line of sarcophagi, there's not much to hide behind, and she sees him directly. And stops short.

A demon?] I don't think it's role play, [she says, a bit shakily. The lack of magic is still freaking her out hardcore.] Did you just wake up here, too?

[volcanic]

[ Iceland has fallen asleep and (subsequently) woken up in some strange places. But nothing like this before. It takes him a second to realize he's trapped which triggers a less than stellar reaction. Although... his panicking and flailing does free him from his sarcophgi, and he gracelessly stumbles out into the room. Now what--

Oh. This is strange. There's strangers milling about in this unfamiliar place that is certaintly not home and... yeah, maybe Iceland will just. Stick close to his former stone prison (or what remains of it, anway). Maybe if he doesn't move no one will see him. Yes surely this plan will work. ]

[ Playing wallflower doesn't work when you're very much alive in comparison to the sarcophagi, Iceland, and with Serge actively seeking out people you're in for a double whammy. Because he's coming over from the side. ]

Hey.

[ Buffy's head hurts as she wakes up. She feels exhausted. Just-went-ten-rounds-with-Glory exhausted. She blinks her eyes open and finds darkness. It's not the first time, and the only thing she can think is not again not again. She beats her hands against the stone in front of her, lightly at first, because it shouldn't take more than a shove with Slayer strength, but she figures out pretty quick that she doesn't have Slayer strength.

So, she hits harder.

And then she begins to struggle and put the rest of her body into it, until finally she falls forward in a heap of rubble. She grimaces as she hits the ground, and the rubble causes some serious bruising in a way that she only vaguely remembers from her senior year. She looks around.

No giant Dawn. No Slayers. No--Okay, well, that's not true. There's plenty of castle. Some things never change. ]

Okay, this waking up dead thing is laughs-a-plenty the first time. [ She picks herself up, dusting off and looking grouchy. ] Right about now? Feels kinda tired.

oops, sorry about this

[ his ears perk just a bit. wait a minute. that is a voice that he recognizes, for good or bad really. it's that rainbow drinker slaying nutcase that decided his head hadn't been good enough to stay attached to his shoulders.

okay, so really it hadn't been a bad thing. it had been the only thing to actually, you know, reverse the curse. in fact, Karkat had encouraged it, since she had seemed so sure that it would work in the first place. and it had, so maybe she isn't really that much of a nutcase. Karkat had woken up just a few seconds after the decapitation just fine and definitely not glowing or thirsting. so all had been well! that doesn't mean he's not turning on his heel, because he definitely is. ]

What? Make a habit of waking up from the sleep of the fucking dead, do you?

[At this point, he's milling around under a window looking out at the blue sky. He's still nursing a pretty nasty headache, but something has got him thinking. How the hell did he manage to to get to Earth so quickly? Whose sick idea is this, kidnapping so many people? Civilians? Were they colonists like himself or people who were trapped on Earth? This was a problem.

He paced back and forth under the window, his arms crossed over his head.]

Tch. There's no way.

They may be the only two bothered by blue sky. Haha

[Vertigo is not the right word for what Heine is feeling, but it is damn near close. Light bothers him and more than just on a physical level. Walking about the fallen ruins of something makes him pass through bouts of darkness and brightness bring irritation to his flat red eyes.

This window has a worse effect, but he is still able to make out a male figure. Staying a few from the brightest cast allows his eyes to adjust.]

You, where the hell are we?

[He partly stays out of the full light, but shadows are doing nothing to cover him. His right sleeve is in ribbons and frustration painted on his face.]

[ it's not what he expected; he remembers little of the night previous, his memory granting him dreams intermingled with reality, the former overpowering the latter to the point that he's certain only of that someone came and fetched him. (jem, he thinks, and he seems to recall tessa, and — thomas? no, thomas was dead, it must have been his brother—), but whatever the case, he's not there, at the institute, and that is the most concerning realisation of all.

(not for his own safety, that was secondary, but if they'd come to fetch him and he'd been captured afterwards, then it meant that they had, too—.)

after managing to escape the sarcophagus, he stumbles slightly before immediately turning his attention to his surroundings. there are a few people there with him, all in varying fashions — most, he notes, he doesn't recognise; there are men dressed in clothes he barely understands and, if circumstances were different, he imagines he'd laugh at the absurdity of their dress, and there were women dressed like men. the latter isn't entirely unusual, not amongst shadowhunters, but from the lack of visible marks on any present, he's tempted to say that they aren't shadowhunters. so: women dressed as men for no real reason, and not a person he knows amongst them.

(it occurs to him that perhaps he imagined it all, perhaps neither jem, nor tessa, nor cyril came to fetch him, and he'd found himself here entirely of his own accord — perhaps abducted from the den whilst he slept. it would certainly explain the black eye he'd discovered.)

after a few moments, he speaks, not to anyone in particular, but to anyone that might be listening. ]

I never imagined that I might lose London.

[ cheerful (feigned), and british — welsh, although the accent isn't as strong as it might have been, and highlights the fact that he's lived in england for a while. ]

[Dusting herself off with her hands and looking highly irritated, her accent should be incredibly familiar to him - crisply English, just shy of Received Pronunciation.]

I think you'll find London has managed to lose us.

[Musty darkness and a sense of enclosed space, and searching fingers reach cool stone. Her hands are capable, but her wand appears not to be, so Narcissa is reduced to shoving as hard as she can against whatever's keeping her in the small space.

Muffled voices tell her she's not alone, and when she shoves hard enough to create the space to clamber free of the-- sarcophagus? Oh, lovely-- her own mutter is added to the rumble of conversation.]

...dirty, dusty, headache, this is ridiculous. If this is some sort of joke, it's a poor one-- bother.

[That last on discovering her wand doesn't appear to work out of the stone prison, either - indeed, there's an innate sense of loss where her magic is concerned, though not a complete disappearance. More... depletion.]

[Another European. Kadar is starting to wonder if maybe he isn't somewhere entirely different than Syria, at this point, somewhere in Europe, for all the people that are foreign to his tastes walking around. Regardless, he should make sure she's all right, too; she's probably just as confused as -- well -- everyone else is.]

[Waking to see scattered and fragmented stone of varying shades of gray is nothing new to Heine. The underground looks like that, constantly in disrepair and falling apart exposing the thin metal beams that keep the top level from not falling in. What is not normal by his standards is the filtered yellow light and strips of blue that can be made out from the cracks in the ceiling.

He pulls himself up with a low growl of irritation. His head hurts, his thinking going to blood loss and slipping control- the thought makes him pause before he pulls himself to a stand.]

Where the hell is that quack?

[His hands passes through his white hair, a quick remember of his previous injury coming to sight by the tatters of his right sleeve. Adjusting to the light and letting balance come into check brings his mind up to date. There is not staling, he is on the move soon as the vertigo calms looking for his opponent, whereabouts, and allies.

Just when did he stumble into a rabbit hole chasing a mongrel?]

[ This guy seems to have an idea of where he's going. At least, that's what Iceland thinks when he hears Heine and sees him on the move. If that's the case, then maybe he could be helpful and Iceland would be able to get better oriented to this place. The white-haired man seems... energetic... which is a little off-putting, so Iceland decides to keep a bit of distance while trying to get the other's attention, though he's close enough where it's obvious that he's tagging along behind him. ]

Hey-- Um... excuse me, are you looking for someone?

[The pieces of debris that clung to his attire were more of a minor annoyance compared to the overall concept. Mainly concept being the idea of waking up in what seemed could only be a tomb by the looks of the general surrounding area, in which the presence of the sarcophagus only seemed to solidify that thought. The stairways and walkways took him a moment to analyze from his position on the floor staring upward, the different manners in which they turned and the directions they led to. Yet, the time in which it took him to push himself from the floor within his singular limb was by far the most disturbing; the slowness simply blamed on the exhaustion that seemed to overwhelm him along with the throbbing within his skull.

An exhale of breath and a small groan followed before Mailk found himself on his feet once more. Taking a moment to kick aside some of the pieces of stone that had surrounded him upon waking, he immediately began taking in the surrounding area while reminding himself that anger would not aid him in result or explanation despite the twisting in his chest that delved far beyond basic irritation. What made things worse though was that the place seemed to have a handful of others that had already made way from their own tombs and out into the maze of a space.]

Sorcery--

[Well, if misery loved company he didn't want to be a part of it. So when he felt he could walk securely without a stumble in his step, the dai moved carefully after making the executive decision to head down the stairwells, to find the ground floor. After all, standing around would not get him anywhere.]

[seventeenth]

[No way.]

[Desmond has figured out, by now, that the ghosts from the past aren't actually really ghosts. It's a bit much to take in, but he.... thinks he's handling it well. He kinda feels like curling up in a corner somewhere until he wakes up, but he's not going to admit that.]

[Instead he's going to chase after Malik.] Hey! Hey! Malik!

[demonizes]

[Last he knew he was being thrown into a prison demon. It wasn't exactly a surprise to wake up someplace he didn't know. Rin was far from accepting of his relocation though.]

Stupid friggin clown'....[He was already drained of any power thanks to Shura's spell, but the pounding headache certainly didn't help when Rin was finally able to knock over the sarcophagus and free himself from the stone cell.]

Where the hell... [Said between a few coughs from the dust floating in the air, as he stares in awe and horror at the room and the countless other stone cases lining the walls. Something others might notice as they see him stand up and look around is Rin's appearance isn't exactly normal. (Sans the flames of course) ]

[dai]

[The dust of the other is noticed and as it floats onward, Malik waves it away from his face as he stands nearby. Watching the other carefully, he stands his ground silently for a moment as he looks him over--his brows furrowing. Now that is not something you see every day and it's something that he is keeping a wary distance of at the moment. From the side of the other, the voice sounds.] Do you always have a tail or is that a curse of this place?

[Well.

This wasn't good. At all.

The last thing Duo remembered was going to bed as he normally did, some ridiculous hour of the morning when the rest of the world was just waking up. Not... stepping in to something stone, cold, and very much enclosed and dark. His head was absolutely pounding, lungs feeling strangely constricted from the dust floating around, and the more he moved around the more he felt like his body was weighed down by an invisible force.

He wasn't claustrophobic at all, but damned if that wasn't just a recipe for the right kind of trigger. He started struggling, trying to tug his arms out of whatever was holding them, letting out a properly panicked scream.

"LET ME OUT OF HERE!"

Took him maybe two or three minutes to locate the source of that sound. It was on a lower level and he was already moving down. He'd taken a mental count of the number of these damn stone things, and the more he thought about it the more it became. He stepped over a series of skeletons before finally coming across one of the stone coffins that was agitating the area around it.

"Hey!" He said once he closed the distance. "You okay in there? Gonna get you out in just a sec, alright?"

[songulen]

[Shit is uncomfortable as fuck, and Turkey isn't interested in putting up with it for more than a minute or two - he's slow to wake, but once he realises that something's off he mutters something foul. Knocks around the inside of the sarcophagus a few times, checking in case there's a brittle spot to crack through. There isn't one he can manage, not with such limited space, so there's only one thing for it.

He slams his shoulder into the wall. He's strong, manages to rock his impromptu tomb (NOT FOR LONG) quite a bit, and he's going to feel this later, but right now he's pissed and in dire need of caffeine and air. Can't have the former, so he'll go for the latter -

And eventually the sarcophagus topples over, crumbles, and Turkey pushes himself up on his hands, wheezing in the dust.

Fuck is that.

Fuck is this.

Fuck is anything any more.]

[ The suddenly loud swearing out of nowhere definitely catches Iceland's attention. Moreso because he's curious as to who's making the commotion, though he'll note that he should probably avoid said person if he can.

So he glances towards the source of the noise and is this for real. Of all the nations that could've been here, it's Turkey. It could be worse, yeah, but... probably not as obnoxious. At least not from Iceland's perspective.

He is a fellow country though. The diplomatic thing would be to say hello, as opposed to unexpectedly running into each other later and wow who even knows how that event would go. So saying hello it is.

Iceland wanders over as casually as he can. Which actually isn't very smooth and casual at all but oh well, who's going to notice. ]

You're too loud, old man.

[bladedstray]

[It's dim, claustrophobic like, and suffocating. And today, Naoto isn't all about dark enclosed spaces. She barely remembers what she was doing last, but she's pretty sure it was nothing to do with, well, being captured of any sort.]

[She bangs on the structure from the inside, but the woman can only keep it up for so long, considering there's something inside her head that's banging against her skull.]

Is anyone--

[Of course there isn't... why would there be?]

[Whatever the structure is, Naoto's not familiar with it. But she needs to get out.]

- hey. Hey! Hang on a bit, let's see what we've got -

[That's a voice - so Turkey dashes back to the coffin that contains it, slaps his hands down on the front, guessing and trying for Naoto's waist-height in case he knocks something in. He's not stupid.]

Y'okay in there? Just wait, I'll get y'out -

[last_lombax]

[This wasn't where he wanted to be when he opened his eyes. The sarcophagus shakes as the person inside begins to shake and tilt outside, his strength not up to par at the moment. But he keeps trying, his tail thrashing side to side as he does. He has to get out of here! Clank needs him! He keeps moving, thrashing with all ninty one pounds of muscle and fur.]

YOU BLARG HEADED FRAK MONKEY! LET! ME! OUT!

[Finally it comes tumbling down, shattering around him. And a strange furry creature topples out and onto the hard stone floor with a loud groan.]

Ow...that hurt...

[stillshinigami]

[He'd been awake for a while, trekking back to the chamber took a little work but now he's witness to yet another sarcophagi tilting over. This time he's more surprised to find that it's not even a human, but some kind of bipedal animal. And it speaks English.]

Uh. Hey. [He reached down to help the thing up.] You okay?

[pinetreemary]

[There is a muffled cry from yet another stone coffin, followed by frantic banging from inside. Ordinarily the crumbling rock would have posed little resistance, but with the dull headache hammering at her temples and the oppressive power of the castle sapping her strength, Marnie's flailing quickly becomes more panicked.

A few awkward but well-placed kicks widens the cracks just enough and the rubble falls away shortly afterward, bringing the young blond girl down with it. She remains on her knees among the debris for a minute, breathing heavily. Visions of too many bad sci-fi movies flash through her mind, but this is the furthest thing from some government laboratory and she can't tell if that's better or worse. She coughs and waves away the dust settling around her, squinting in the dim room.]

D-dad? Are you he- [cough cough] -here...what...

[dai]

[The breathing catches his attention first off and he is quick to steady his own steps to near the sound. Alongside the cloud of dust his brows furrow as he steps forward to look upon the girl. Anyone calling out for a parent is never a good thing and to be lost in such a state in this quiet prison there is a mild manner of empathy. Making sure to kick a piece of debris or two to alert the other of his presence and not to scare her, he murmurs to her in an accented tone.] Child--

Are you alright?

[gigantor]

[Cue yet another of the stone sarcophagi falling to the floor and shattering into pieces. The sarcophagi's occupant -a tall man with brown hair- tumbles out of the rubble a moment later, coughing and gasping for air.]

D... Dean? [He coughs again and rubs dust from face, cringing as the movement accidentally puts pressure on the tension headache hammering behind his eyes.] --Ow.

[Still a little disoriented, Sam rises shakily to his feet and takes in his surroundings. What he sees is so shocking that it might as well be something from a nightmare: A castle. He's in a castle in the middle of-- no. There's no way he's in Kanses, let alone anywhere near America anymore.]

Hello?

Hi.

[don't stab her sam she's not a demon okay. even if it is extremely startling to turn around and find a blue girl with glowing yellow eyes standing right there and staring at you. she looks shocked to find him there, though; she was just walking around the edge and he nearly gave her a heart attack by falling out suddenly like that.

she also looks distinctly nervous.]

... I haven't run into anyone called Dean here. Not yet, I mean.
