Everyone's waking up at once, covered in bits of rubble, temporarily without abilities and with a lurking headache. The castle looms around them, irrepressibly gray, huge and silent. The only noises are the people, rustling as they extract themselves from their sarcophagi and look for exits along the arching walkways.

Better take a look around, and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

[Watching the other lift his hands he paused and took in a small breath, his eyes never left the other but he took a small step back when he straightened his posture.] No one here is familiar of face.

It would be a wise choice to leave me be as quickly as you came.

[seventeenth]

[Desmond looks annoyed, briefly, but it passes before long. He consides Malik, wondering how fast he can dodge a well-aimed knife, then shrugs and drops his hands to his side, falling into a deceptively relaxed stance.]

Kadar is here.

[dai]

[At the name he visibly bristles and seems to look more insulted than annoyed at this point.] Halt your tongue.

You know nothing of him! Did you not heed my warning about speaking names in this place?

[seventeenth]

[Desmond just looks irritated, now.] Yeah, I heard you. And I know more than you'd think. He's here with the rest of us.

[dai]

I'll believe you when I see it with my own eyes. [Comes the snide remark.]

Until then, I'm not sure how you know of these names but keep them from your breath, you have no right speaking them.

[seventeenth]

Sorry, didn't realize there was some minimum requirement for using names. [There's the snark, but only for that quip.] Whatever, do what you want. But if you find him, tell him Desmond's looking for him.

[dai]

If I do find him I'll consider it. [He looks coldly at the other.]

But I make no promises for I'm not sure I'd want my brother in the company of someone like yourself in the first place.

[seventeenth]

He didn't seem to mind me earlier. [But, Desmond decides to not push it otherwise. Malik seems extra upset about something, and Desmond would rather let him be.]

[dai]

Then he'll pick his own path, if he is here like you say. [There is a pause then a curt nod of the head before he is turning to leave the other behind.]

[seventeenth]

[Desmond shrugs, lifts his hands again, then backs away. WEll, that went well. See you later then, Malik.]
