[shadowqueen]

Everyone's waking up at once, covered in bits of rubble, temporarily without abilities and with a lurking headache. The castle looms around them, irrepressibly gray, huge and silent. The only noises are the people, rustling as they extract themselves from their sarcophagi and look for exits along the arching walkways.

Better take a look around, and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

[She gives him a shaky smile back.] Um... kind of. Physically, yeah, I'm okay. [He seems a little normal to know about magic, just based on first impressions, so Willow holds back on that problem for now.]

I'm Willow.

[kaderp]

I am Kadar. I don't suppose you know where we are, or-- how we got here? [because he is definitely in the dark about all of this.]

[guiltapalooza]

No clue, [she confesses, brushing off some rubble and stepping out into the room proper to have a look around.] And usually I'm up on these things, so... feeling kinda flummoxed.

[kaderp]

[oh, she talks so strangely! definitely European, then... he nods a little, regardless.] The last things I remember-- do not lead to my arrival here. It's-- ['scary', but he can't say that.]--alarming. I want to know who is responsible.

[guiltapalooza]

I don't know either, but I want to find out. [There's a bit of steel underlying her tone, there.]

What do you say we go take a look around? No way am I sitting by the coffins like a sheltered flower.

[kaderp]

That sounds like a good idea. [he checks himself for his weapons, in case they run into trouble-- he's pretty discreet about it, and he makes sure his hood is up and properly in place at the end.]

I'd like to find out who brought us here.

[guiltapalooza]

[Willow's so used to watching her friends do the habitual weapons check that she doesn't even think anything of it. For her part, she doesn't have any weapons to speak of: she relied on her recently departed magic for that.]

Right. So, we're on a mission. A mission to find the culprit. First step: find a door. [Setting off now to look for one, though, the room is so huge this is going to take a while.]

[kaderp]

[Kadar considers for a moment.] Up or down? [with all the ledges and stairs in the room, it feels like a prudent question. it'd be silly to explore one way without looking at the others.]

[guiltapalooza]

Down? [she hazards.] It looks like mostly more sarcophagi up top, but I can't tell what's down there where the floor drops off. [She nods toward the other end of the room.]

[kaderp]

[Kadar nods, and then jumps over the climb onto the edge and peer down a little more curiously. His freerunning skills, if nothing else, are still relatively intact, even if he's really not sure his mind is.]

It looks safe. [he's hardly going to let a girl that isn't a Assassin go first and possibly get harmed, after all.]

[guiltapalooza]

Aren't you acrobatic? [Willow trails along after him curiously. She's seen a lot of crazy feats of physical skill, but usually it was Buffy doing them, or a vampire. So what is this guy?]

Thanks for the check, [she says, flashing him an appreciative smile. Someone else might be offended at being protected, but Willow has needed it enough times in her life just to be grateful wherever she finds it.] I think I see a set of stairs over there.

[kaderp]

Oh-- it's how I was raised! [and he doesn't seem to think of it, given how he has a tendency to walk on top of things rather on the ground. He does hop back down, though, to head towards the stairs.]

There weren't many stairs where I grew up.

[guiltapalooza]

[She follows him to the stairs at an easy pace, glancing down to check before taking them.]

And that was... the circus?

[kaderp]

[Kadar scrunches his face, repeating the word back to himself.]

I do not know what a circus is, but I do not think Masyaf is one.

[guiltapalooza]

Oh. I think I'll skip the explanations. [That could only lead to awkward.]

Is that in the Middle-East?

[kaderp]

It is near Jerusalem and Damascus. [it doesn't really seem like it's the middle of... the East.]

[guiltapalooza]

So, yes. I wonder how they've been getting people from such different places. [Slight frown.]

--Hey, it looks like there aren't more stone coffins down here. Maybe we're getting somewhere.

[kaderp]

[Kadar perks, jumping a few steps forward to clamber on top of the nearest obstacle and get a better look around.] I hope so! If this place really was nothing but coffins, I think I'd be even more confused.

[guiltapalooza]

I don't know if it's possible to be more confused, [she sighs, eying his clambering around.] Considering we have exactly no answers right now, we're already in the pits of no information.

[kaderp]

We have some information. [he doesn't sound very bothered by it.] We know we were brought here by some means that aren't simply normal kidnapping, or there wouldn't be so many of us from so many different places. We know that whoever brought us here has the ability to put is to sleep, or we would remember being brought here, and we know that most of the people here appear to be allies.

[he stands tall and offers her a grin.] And we've got this huge castle to explore for more information! I think we're doing all right.

[guiltapalooza]

It's not that you don't have a point, I just... like to have names and faces to go with the baddies I need to pummel. Or more accurately, stand back and occasionally assist in pummeling.

[They're just about to the bottom of the stairs, and Willow's looking around carefully, skeptical that nothing has attacked them yet.]

[kaderp]

Oh. I don't usually have names for individual people... [he sounds a little distracted, he peers around the area cautiously, movements changing to something far more stealthy as he doublechecks the area.]

I think I prefer not having that much involvement. [it's a smile that has a few extra layers, this time, before he gestures.] I still don't see anyone I could call an enemy here.

[guiltapalooza]

[Wow okay, this guy is clearly not as clueless and derpy as he puts across. Both the words and the actions belie that.]

Not have that much involvement, as in... what? How does that work, exactly? [Usually there's some grandstalking and talking when Willow has to face off against enemies.] Personally, I'm waiting for the spooky monsters. Castle like this, they must be around here somewhere.

[kaderp]

Oh, I'm an Assassin. [it's a good thing when he's from, okay? and sure, maybe he shouldn't just admit it, but it seems like there's no Templars here and it doesn't quite occur to him that maybe not everyone will think being an Assassin is a good thing.] It is better not to know your target anymore than you need to, for your own safety.

[he pauses, then considers. monsters? ... monsters? like the kind he always thought might stalk around Masyaf at night, lit up and on fire and waiting for people to let them in?] You believe in monsters?

[guiltapalooza]

--An assassin? [She stops short and stares at him, trying to see it and failing. So it kinda fit, a little, but he was so... cheerful, and friendly. Willow was finding it hard to reconcile, though okay, maybe that was shallow of her. But hey, assassin! She was excused!]

Oh, uh, yeah. Monsters. I've seen plenty of monsters in my day, even spoken to most of them. But assassin is... new. Very new.
