Everyone's waking up at once, covered in bits of rubble, temporarily without abilities and with a lurking headache. The castle looms around them, irrepressibly gray, huge and silent. The only noises are the people, rustling as they extract themselves from their sarcophagi and look for exits along the arching walkways.

Better take a look around, and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

Ow... [Desmond is staring, quite unhappily, up at the ceiling. He wasn't expecting where he'd end up once he shook himself free of the sarcophagus, but here was not it. He sits up, shaking his head against the pain firmly occupying his skull.]

Where...? [He looked around, frowning. Where was he? He tentatively draws his knees towards his chest, moving to stand.] Uhh, hello?

[kaderp]

[Kadar whirls a little at someone else's voice, once he's on his feet.]

--Hello? [someone else is here and conscious and not a skeleton, this is definitely cause to be excited!

upside: they're alive!

downside: they could be a Templar. Kadar's not sure yet. ... he probably shouldn't have just given away his location.]

[Desmond looks over to Kadar, confusion and curiosity both plain in his expression.] There's-- [Then surprise overtakes him, and his eyes widen.] Hey, you're--

I'm--? [he hesitates for a second. it's not unusual for Assassins to be recognized, but he shifts slightly into a more guarded stance, just in case. this man, he--

--he looks like Altaïr.]

... Kadar? ... Huh. [Then Desmond seems to put Kadar out of his mind, rising to his feet and brushing himself off.] First time that's happened.

[kaderp]

[there's a little bit of suspicion in his tone, but it's mostly curiosity.]

How do you know me?

[seventeenth]

[Desmond gives Kadar a weird look. First time the Bleeding Effect has talked to him, too. May as well go for it, though. He smirks.] Oh, you know. Spying.

[kaderp]

[and that gets a defensive stance and a step back.] Have you been spying on Masyaf?! [ARE YOU A TEMPLAR? DOES HE NEED TO TRY AND STAB YOU?]

[... weird!] Well, sort of. Hitching a ride with Altaïr, exploring the holy land-- you know how it goes.

[Desmond blinks.] Huh?

Before y'ask again, I don't know where this is or how we got here. But those coffins're cramped pieces of shit, that's for sure! Y'okay?

Ah. [That's all Desmond can manage at first, though the commentary on the stone coffin pots makes him chuckle.] Yeah, no shit. I'm alright, aside from the whole... coffin pots thing. [He climbs to his feet.]

Same, 'cept for the headache.

[Turkey doesn't offer a hand. Guy can stand on his own two feet, so let him. He'd been sitting on his heels nearby - no need to look like he's about to kick someone while they're down, but now he rises with Desmond and brushes off his thighs.]

If this's meant to be hospitality I'm callin' bullshit.

It's actually not too hard for me to ignore that part, in light of everything else. [Desmond slaps his hands against his thighs to free them of dust.]

Somehow I get fewer 'cherished guests' vibes from this and more 'prisoners'.

[Turkey snorts.] Some prison this is when the cells tip over and the guards're outta sight.

Course there's gotta be somethin' more when ya got this many people holed up at once and no one to watch 'em - either confidence or them just bein' a fuckin' idiot.

[Desmond gives Charles a puzzled look for Charles' next, odd question.] Nothing that's jumped out at me right way. There's a lot to take in, though -- are you thinking about any specific changes.

[Desmond considers Charles' question. The only thing he can think of is Eagle Vision -- and a quick check confirms that yes, it's gone. It has Desmond frowning.]

I've never tried to do it with a pounding headache, to be fair. [Not that Desmond thinks Charles has caught on to the extent that he has. He's obviously just got some 'highly useful skill' like Shaun does.]
