Everyone's waking up at once, covered in bits of rubble, temporarily without abilities and with a lurking headache. The castle looms around them, irrepressibly gray, huge and silent. The only noises are the people, rustling as they extract themselves from their sarcophagi and look for exits along the arching walkways.

Better take a look around, and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

[Serge is just leaning against a sarcophagus not too far from the one he came out of with a hand resting on his side. He's physically and mentally exhausted, he has a headache, and someone apparently thought abducting him would be so thrilling when all he's good for is being beaten up.

He lets out an airy sigh.]

I'm too old for this.

[stillshinigami]

[And that sarcophagus is moving. Shaking as if someone had just rocked it from the inside. A murmur could be heard from the inside and it rocked again.]

[sagacity]

[Oh. There's a person inside this thing he's leaning on, isn't there? He hops off that sarcophagus the moment he feels movement against his back, because the last thing he wants to do is cave someone in.]

Whoops!

[In hindsight, maybe he should've just turned around and help get the lid off.]

[stillshinigami]

[That would have helped if he weren't throwing all of his weight into the damn thing. The lid started lurching forward with him on top of it, crashing to the floor. He coughed at the fallen dust as he crawled to his knees.]

Aw, hell.

[sagacity]

[Well, that was rather forceful. He waved the dust away and took a step forward, just to the edge of the fallen lid.]

You all right there?

[stillshinigami]

[Yet effective! He looked up at the guy while he pulled himself up.]

Couple scratches, but I'm okay. [He rubbed his sore aching neck, looking around with bleary eyes.]

The hell is this place?

[sagacity]

[Ah, the inevitable question, and one that he'd found himself asking moments earlier. He simply shrugged.]

Your guess is as good as mine. I woke up the same way you did.

[stillshinigami]

[He wiped sweat from his brow and grimaced. There was no doubt in his mind that he was hungover, but the headache was a tad worse than he was used to. He moved over to the nearby wall and leaned against it.]

Hmmmn. Shit like this isn't exactly what I call typical. [Something clicks then and he opens his eyes to get a good look around him.]

Hang on a second.

[sagacity]

[He's nearly about to agree -- who'd call waking up in a coffin typical? -- when the boy opts to taking a look around. So Serge waits, and he's quiet for a second before he speaks up again.]

What is it?

[stillshinigami]

We're on Earth. [It seems so impossible, but it's not as though you can use this kind of heavy stone in a space colony!]

Holy shit. [He runs his hands through his hair.] How the-- How did they even get us here?

[sagacity]

[He doesn't quite follow this fellow. Where else could this be if it weren't the earth? The sky?]

I'm pretty sure we are, though I can't tell you how we got to this place. Are you one of the Divine Race?

[stillshinigami]

[Yep.]

Divine what?

Some how I don't think that's kosher.

I don't either, man. Whoever brought me here musta been good enough to get past my security, and that's a pretty impressive feat in of itself.

[Then again, he was drunk.]

[sagacity]

[Confusion. That rules that theory out.]

Never mind.

Yeah? What, were you in prison?

[stillshinigami]

Prison? Me? Heh. Fat chance.

I just have a security system installed at my loft. There's still a lot of fighting still going on, if you haven't noticed.

[sagacity]

[He arches a brow. Somehow, he feels they're not on the same track.]

What fighting?

[stillshinigami]

[He's getting that too.]

Y'mean you haven't noticed? Terrorists and the like popping up all over causing trouble for guys like me.

[sagacity]

[That sounds way out of field.]

. . . where are you from?

[stillshinigami]

L2? V08944?

I don't think we're on the same wavelength here.

[stillshinigami]

[He looks the guy over. Honestly he wasn't dressed any stranger than some of the people he's encountered, so he didn't think much of it.]

That's no place I've ever been.

[sagacity]

[Serge doesn't appear too bothered by this, as his next words even sound to carry some mild humor in the tone.]

And I've never been to L2 and . . . what was it? V08-something? There's no place in Fulheim with a name like that.

[stillshinigami]

And no place I know of called Fulheim.

Think one of us hit their heads harder than they thought? [Of course the implication is that it's Serge, rather than himself.]

[sagacity]

Maybe. Is your head ringing?

[demonizes]

There are people turning up everywhere here....

[Here Serge have a demon boy staring at you from just a few stone coffins over.]

You don't look that old.

[sagacity]

[ . . . does that kid have a tail and fairly pointed ears.

But then, jokingly:] What, do I look 12 to you?
