Everyone's waking up at once, covered in bits of rubble, temporarily without abilities and with a lurking headache. The castle looms around them, irrepressibly gray, huge and silent. The only noises are the people, rustling as they extract themselves from their sarcophagi and look for exits along the arching walkways.

Better take a look around, and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

I'm pretty sure we are, though I can't tell you how we got to this place. Are you one of the Divine Race?

I don't either, man. Whoever brought me here musta been good enough to get past my security, and that's a pretty impressive feat in of itself.

I just have a security system installed at my loft. There's still a lot of fighting still going on, if you haven't noticed.

[He arches a brow. Somehow, he feels they're not on the same track.]

Y'mean you haven't noticed? Terrorists and the like popping up all over causing trouble for guys like me.

[He looks the guy over. Honestly he wasn't dressed any stranger than some of the people he's encountered, so he didn't think much of it.]

That's no place I've ever been.

[Serge doesn't appear too bothered by this, as his next words even sound to carry some mild humor in the tone.]

And I've never been to L2 and . . . what was it? V08-something? There's no place in Fulheim with a name like that.

And no place I know of called Fulheim.

Think one of us hit their heads harder than they thought? [Of course the implication is that it's Serge, rather than himself.]

Maybe. Is your head ringing?

Hah. Yeah. Right.

Y'must just be from Earth or something. Some town I've never heard of, but then that's not really all that surprising either.

The world I come from is known as Fulheim. But if you're not from the earth, then where were you before?

[stillshinigami]

The... world? Like the whole planet or--what?

[sagacity]

The whole planet. Maybe more. Why, you think that'd mean something?

Uh...

I don't really know how to answer that.

Pretty sure all humans come from Earth, pal.

Sure we do. I'm just more used to calling it Fulheim. It's the earth, but we don't exactly use it as a name.

[stillshinigami]

Oh.

[Duo seems to mull that over.]

That's, y'know I have no idea what that is.

[sagacity]

So you said. [A beat. Time to attempt clearing this up neatly.] Tell me about where you come form.

[stillshinigami]

[It was getting to be a headache.]

Eeeh, well I come from a space colony in Earth's orbit. Our enemies dropped a colony onto Earth almost four years ago, so it's not like Earth was inhabitable all this time.

[sagacity]

[ . . . give him a moment. Serge arches both brows, then thinks deeply about this new-found knowledge.]

So you lived even farther away than the skies? That must have been something.

[stillshinigami]

Guess you could say that.

I lived pretty close to the moon, as a matter of fact.
