Everyone's waking up at once, covered in bits of rubble, temporarily without abilities and with a lurking headache. The castle looms around them, irrepressibly gray, huge and silent. The only noises are the people, rustling as they extract themselves from their sarcophagi and look for exits along the arching walkways.

Better take a look around, and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

That's.... kinda complicated. He screwed up and broke a bunch of Assassin rules, in short.

[kaderp]

He broke the Creed?!

[seventeenth]

Uh huh. [Reflexively, Desmond reaches down to fuss with the straps on his hidden blade. He doesn't extend it, though.] Like I said, he got in trouble.

[kaderp]

You still haven't told me about my brother.

[seventeenth]

He got out, too. He was pretty pissed. [But really, saying much else feels... wrong. Kadar is clearly not really there but... well, he's also clearly getting upset by this.]

[This is probably really alarming. Lucy had never mentioned something like this.]

[kaderp]

He must have been, if Altaïr did so badly. [...if Kadar died. He remembers, remembers Altaïr breaking the creed, technically, but there's no blame there.]

I was hoping to find him here.

[seventeenth]

... something like that, yeah. [Desmond doesn't like this-- he feels bad because he upset a hallucination. He should probably stop talking to him.] I haven't seem him here yet. Sorry.

[kaderp]

...all right. Thank you. I-- I'll go look for him. He might not be-- here yet. [but he has to come here. Kadar can't be here alone, can he?]

[seventeenth]

Right, good idea. I'll... uh. [Wow, okay, this is getting too strange for him.] I'll let him know you're here if I see him, okay?

[kaderp]

[Kadar attempts a smile, but it's a only a shade of his normal one.]

Thank you. Is-- there anyone I should keep an eye out for, for you?

[seventeenth]

[Poor Kadar. He's so.... earnest.] Uhh-- sure. A blond woman with a white shirt and her hair in a ponytail; that's Lucy. A skinny woman with black hair-- she'll answer to Rebecca. And a really grumpy blond Englihs guy named Shaun. He's a jerk, but I promise he's not a Templar.

[And of course, he wonders to himself why he's trying to comfort an illusion, but... well, he's done stranger things, he guesses.]

[kaderp]

[Kadar nods, taking the names in.] Lucy, Rebecca, and Shaun. Okay. Who should I tell them you are?

[seventeenth]

Yeah. Just let 'em know that Desmond is looking for them.

[kaderp]

Desmond. Okay. [another of Kadar's faint smiles, before he ducks his head and pulls his hood down over his face.]

If I see them, I'll let them know.

[seventeenth]

Cool. I'll see you around, I guess. [And thne he turns and leaves, willing to put this oddity behind him.]

[kaderp]

[a little faintly;] Safety and peace. [if he's a friend of Altaïr's-- well, sort of-- then the words still have meaning.]

[seventeenth]

[There's a puase, just a little one, before Desmond responds automaticlaly.] Safety and peace, Kadar. [He probably won't see you again, and it kinda bums him out.]
