For the record?  This really, really sucks.   

 [Danny announced his opinion aloud to the general vicinity.  

Waking up locked inside a box was never good.  Waking up locked inside a box that looked sort of like one of those sarcophagus things with a killer headache and his powers shorted out?  He was pretty sure that there was no way this could end well.  Had he been kidnapped?  Again?  What did they want this time?

With a lot of effort and complaints he'd managed to break out of the box, only to discover the creepy abandoned castle.  Great.  Why were they always creepy and abandoned?  You'd think he'd run into a little originality eventually.  

Well, no point waiting around here for who ever did this to come back.  Danny purposefully heads off into the castle.  All he needed to do was find somewhere he could hide until his powers came back.  Then he could break out of here and get home.  Maybe even in time for tomorrow's math quiz.

It would be easy, right?]

[ooc:Feel free to run into him anywhere.  Eventually he's going to find his way to the living quarters.]

[Ever get the feeling you're being watched? Danny's entrance to the main common area does attract some attention- namely, that of a blonde girl about his age, who peers at him from around a nearby stone post. She isn't trying to hide, but certainly isn't making any effort to call attention to herself.

She's just standing there.

Watching.]

[Well, this was different? Danny looks around the area nervously. There were other people here? Other living people here? What was going on?

After a few moments he spots the girl by the post and makes his way to over to her.]

Um, hello?

Hi. [She straightens up and tenses as he approaches, nodding slightly in the direction he had come from.] You came from the coffins?

[schrodingersghost]

If by that you mean those creepy stone boxes, then yes.

[pinetreemary]

Uh-huh. Everyone did, I think. [She frowns.] Too bad. I was kind of hoping you lived here or something.

[schrodingersghost]

Everyone? [He frowns.] Just how many people are involved in this? I mean, when I woke up I figured it was just me. You're the first person I've met here.

[pinetreemary]

I don't know. A couple dozen, maybe. I haven't counted or anything. They're all too busy freaking out to sit still. [She bites her lip and looks him over.] You should probably be freaking out too.

[schrodingersghost]

Oh. Right. I'm totally freaking out. Just, you know, in a not obvious way.

[pinetreemary]

That's good. 'Cause I think we're stuck here.

[schrodingersghost]

Well that's just great. I had a math quiz tomorrow too.

[pinetreemary]

[She stares at him blankly, completely unsure if he's serious or not. Is this what normal people are like?

...in the end she decides to just continue.] I think it's a kidnapping, maybe. But we haven't seen or heard from anyone. It would be polite to tell us why we've been kidnapped, don't you think?

Unless they're trying to make us nervous. Or they forgot. I wouldn't put that past some people.

It's been a couple days. I'm nervous. Mission accomplished.

[Not really in the mood to go adventuring about, he's pulled one of the chairs around and leaned it back into the the wooden table behind him, his hands folded behind his head. Times like this he'd be committed to burying himself in his workshop, doing something constructive. Giving Deathscythe an upgrade or working on his security systems. Something!

Here, the only thing he had to do? Exploring? He didn't have his head in it just then. That and he was just a little stiff from the last two walk-arounds. So there was really no reason why he should be overdoing it.]

[Danny grins as he FINALLY feels the familiar tingle of his powers coming back. With a quick glance around the room to make sure no one was looking in his direction he jumps through the wall.

Or at least that was what was supposed to happen. Instead he slams into the very solid wall and drops to the ground with a loud thump and a cry of pain.

He lays there on the ground for a moment, staring up at the ceiling.]

Okay, that didn't go as planned.

[stillshinigami]

[Duo flinched at the noise, settling his chair down and rising up to look behind at the wall behind him. Or rather, the kid on the floor.

What the heck was he doing? He rounded the table and approached the kid.]

What're you doing?

[schrodingersghost]

...Staring at the ceiling. Very interesting brickwork, you know.

[stillshinigami]

[He stands over Danny now and looks down at the kid. He stepped around Danny and offered a hand.]

You best try not to hurt yourself. This place'll do a good enough job all on it's own.

[schrodingersghost]

[He takes the hand and scrambles to his feet.]

No hope there. I'm a klutz.

...Please tell me that means you know what this place is.

[stillshinigami]

Spend enough time here and I think that won't be a problem anymore.

[He moves back to the table and takes a seat again once the kid is back on his feet.]

I have no idea what this is. People keep saying that magic is the reason we're all here. This castle is old, and huge. Get outside at some point you'll see what I mean.

I'm hoping for not on that issue. I have a math quiz tomorrow.,

Great. Magic. Just what we needed.

[stillshinigami]

...It's scary you're so casual about the magic thing.

And you're more concerned about math.

[schrodingersghost]

I'm from Amity Park. Magic is one of the least weird things I've seen.

[He shrugs.] Yeah? Weird stuff happens all the time, with my fmaily. But if I flunk this test I am so getting grounded.

[stillshinigami]

Not following. Eeh, magic's too complicated anyway. [He waves it off dismissively.]

As for your problem there, think your priorities are a little crooked.

[schrodingersghost]

[He shrugs.]

How difficult can it be to break out of here. We just wait for whoever did it to show up and start their villainous monologue.
