Heero was hunched over a table, a dissembled pistol lay in pieces on top of the table in the common area. There wasn't much light to work by, given the time of day he was working, but he knew the mechanics of a gun like the back of his hand. Fixing the jam would be no problem and it needed a good cleaning anyway.
It had been days since the last time Heero had slept. With the nightmares and things everyone were experiencing, he wasn't going to take a chance and be forced to go through the same. Nightmares drawn up from memories were the last thing he wanted to experience, especially since he was now sharing a room with two other people. For the time being he flat out refused to sleep, using every bit of his training to stay awake and finding things to do. Exploring, tinkering with a pistol, training, and other things. However, it was getting to the point that pretty soon he was going to have to nod off for a bit. He couldn't keep going at this rate.
Occasionally he stopped, lifting his head and looking around the common room for other people. After being attacked and having Duo nearly try to kill him, he was on a heightened guard. No one was awake, but that didn't mean the shadows wouldn't come back for him. Hell, maybe his attacker would like to go for a second try with him.
((ooc: It's the middle of the night and Heero is busy maintaining a weapon. Feel free to sit with and bother him.))

Her mistake, but whatever.
"Mostly good things from Loudmouth. It was confusing because Duo and Quatre said some things that were kinda iffy, but you seem to have won them over without much trouble. I can see why. You're an alright guy."
At least he seemed so, so far. She emptied her cup and set it aside.

"Their version of me isn't such an alright guy." Not that it was his fault. That Heero had been tortured to be that way. It didn't take much effort to win the others over, not that he had tried.
As for "Loudmouth", Heero couldn't help but smile knowingly. He knew exactly who she was referring to and yes, he did have a loudmouth.

She made a face as if contemplating something, before nodding once and muttering; she might have been talking to herself.
"Y'know, I think I might want to meet him one day. Big stinkin' dunderhead sounds like he deserves a good thrashing or two. Maybe cow hog tie him to the ceiling..."
Toph seemed to finally remember he was there and cringed apologetically.
"No offense to you. You're not him," she reiterated.
Don't mind Toph- she's just a little body with a whole lot of energy turning stagnant and instilling violent thoughts. Normal for her, rest assured.

As for her comment, it didn't bother him in the slightest. After all, he wasn't him.
"None taken."
no subject
She finally just settled in for the usual questions.
"So... you got any plans for how to get out of this place and go back home?"
no subject
"Not yet. I need to explore the castle more."
The problem with that was it took at least two people to get around this place and it hindered on his ability to work alone.
no subject
"Make sure you take a few people. Those things are tough, and bashing weapons don't seem to be as effective as sharp weapons. I mean, they do the job, but it really ruins their day when you cut 'em up."
Her hands grew bored and she began molding the stone cup into various shapes and figures with the pull of one hand, the other holding her head up while she spoke.
"And they attack in hordes. Silent, endless hordes that come out of no where and are stopped by very little. The three of us barely escaped by the skin of our teeth."
The worried look on her face transformed instantly into one of excitement.
"I plan on going again if I can talk some people into it."
no subject
"I'll join you if you'd like."
He watched as Toph molded the stone into various things, head tilted and an obvious expression of curiosity on his face. Duo told him she could shape things from stone and metal and he had seen her do it earlier, but it was just amazing she could do it in the first place.
"How do you do that?"
no subject
"I'll bug the other two, see if I can talk them into going with us. Maybe even Ratchet, or Quatre."
She paused and grinned. "Heck, we could even have a field trip!"
Too exited?
no subject
"I don't think Quatre is up for this." The last time he saw the blond, he looked more down than usual.
no subject
But that was just speculation. She trusted, that as Quatre's friend, Heero probably knew more than she did about what would cheer him up. Geeze, not even Iroh's tea had done that. Clearly, the boy was simply not cheer-up-able. At all.
The cup took the shape of a winged boar and she lowered her hand to touch it and pet it fondly with a finger.
"I can't help but get the impression that he's smart. Maybe if we glue his and Sokka's heads together, we can come up with something that gets us all home."
no subject
"He is incredibly smart." Quatre was the one who came up with most of their plans back home. He was a great strategist. This one would be too if he were given the chance. "But we should try to work on it ourselves."

She began thinking of all the others, and what roles could be assigned to them.
Singing robots? Well, one could sew, obviously. She wondered if they could cook... There were assassins. Those were clearly valuable. Uuuh, she wasn't totally sure who else or what else they had on their hands to get through this situation. But then, she did think of another, and cocked a confused face at Heero.
"... what would we do with a ghost around here?"
no subject
"Scouting?" Heero wasn't really sure what one could do with a ghost either. Up until being dragged to the castle, he didn't even believe in ghosts. That was all nonsense to him. But Danny could fly and get to places no one else really could, so that could be useful. "He can get places we can't."
As for the singing robots, he really had no idea. Haku was really too meek to be of much use besides for sewing. He didn't know much about the other one either.
no subject
Send a ghost scouting? She supposed that could work well enough.
"That sounds good, I guess."
She covered her mouth to hide a yawn.

"You should go back to your room." He stated, getting up from the table and stretched a bit. He might do the same. Go back to his room and get a little bit of sleep in. "I can walk with you back there."
no subject
"I don't want to wake up Ratchet and Quatre. I'll sleep out here. I've done it before. The courtyard has softer ground so I might go there instead."
But thanks for the offer.
no subject
"Suit yourself."
He decided to head off, making his back to his room to catch a couple hours of sleep.
