Scraaaaaape. Scraaaaaaaaaaaape. Scraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaape.
Ker-KLUNK Ker-KLUNK Ker-KLUNK
...
Scraaaaaaaaape...
If one were to follow the sound, they'd find a small girl working her hardest at pulling a large lump of metal- probably twice her size or more- down the hall, towards her room in the living area.
Although it was obvious it took some effort for her to move it, it seemed as if it wasn't taking too much out of her and she was getting some distance with it.
Soon, though, she determined that it was break time, and relaxed her hold on the chunk. She leaned against it and panted, wiping sweat from her forehead.
Geeze. How much farther until she got to her room?
[Ooc: Toph's still willing to make weapons if anyone wants any! :D]

"How are you performing this feat in the first place?"
no subject
"It's not that hard. It's barely even heavy. I'm just small, so it's a little difficult for me to move, but I'm making progress."
She held a hand out to it and stepped away for him.
Come on. Move the giant iron rock.

"Expecting the impossible is something I am learning to do in this place." Still. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. He places another hand against the rock and well... He tries to push at it. Tries. If it barely budges, he should have seen it coming and if it doesn't move at all, the outcome is the same.

"I really shouldn't share it with anyone outside the family, but since you asked so nicely... It's called not being a SISSY!"
Bending stance ready, she followed through and hit the stone with all she had. It lunged forward a ways before stopping again. She grinned to herself before straightening up. She put an arm on a hip and turned her head to him.
"But being an Earthbender helps, too, I guess."
no subject
"Earthbender. A natural talent, then?

Whoo. That took a lot of effort. She was glad she hadn't tried moving it the entire way like that. Slow and steady wins the race, right? ... or something.
She moved back to the rock and sank her power into it, pulling it along behind her step by step, closer and closer to the safer confines of her room.

"How are you going to use it?"
no subject
"I was gonna make weapons and maybe armor out of it. Maybe some other things if anyone has any ideas of what else they might want or need," she shrugged. "Have any suggestions?"
no subject
"Weapons and armor are good ideas, already."
no subject
Well, it was worth a shot, if she had any left over, but she could make that easier and just as durable with rock.
"Do you think it'll stop them?" Did anyone really know that much about the monsters?
no subject
"It could not hurt to try, at least."
no subject
But maybe it'd be great to have doors that could close entire hallways... slow down the process of getting attacked between rooms, not just IN rooms.
She could make that. It would just be exhausting and she'd need some time to complete it all.
Hm... ... ...
Oh yeah, he was still standing there, wasn't he?
"... so, who are you?"
no subject
"Altaïr." No need for his full name, not when there was no one of relation to him. It was not as if the name "I arrived here recently." A pause.
"And yourself?"
no subject
She took a moment to put a fist at the wrist of a vertical hand and bow over it. It meant nothing, really. It was just habit from childhood and then polite customer service- the worst part of Iroh's tea shop.
"I'm Toph. ... so... are you from the desert, too?"
Or maybe that style of dress was popular in the other worlds. How should she know?
no subject
"Too? You have met another such as myself?"
no subject
"I can't tell too much about the detail, but overall, your clothing reminds me of a few friends."
She wasn't totally sure if they wanted their names thrown around. While it seemed that most of the castle was okay with each other, she was also aware that many of the inhabitants were secretive creatures. Oh, well, if he could guess it, she wouldn't deny it.
"One of them comes across as a real goofy kid. The other one? ... I guess I kind of owe him my life," she muttered while scratching the back of her head. It was almost humiliating to admit that sometimes. She winced as she continued. "Twice now."
Maybe that was a little bit of exaggeration. Malik had never mentioned anything about repayment... but Toph was the type to demand retribution to and from, even if it only meant making something tasty for dinner after she risked her life to save another. While Malik hadn't exactly risked his for hers, she probably wouldn't be there talking to Altaïr without one-armed intervention. She felt she owed him something.

There were only a few who bore robes similar to his, and he knew three of them. One as goofy? No doubt Kadar, as he did not believe Ezio to be as such and Malik, well.. That was another story.
"Kadar is one them, I am willing to say." Whoever provided aid to the girl could have been believed of any of them - Altaïr took in a breath. "I only have a rough idea of who the latter could be.
no subject
"... well, I'm not going to just flat out tell you who it was, but yeah... Kadar's pretty goofy."
A moment passed before two and two clicked.
"You know Kadar, then?"
no subject

It was almost ... cute.
"You're a friend of theirs? They're nice, respectable guys. Anyone they trust, I trust."
Yes, they had won the Bei Fong seal of approval.
no subject
"Their faith in others is something I trust myself." So in turn, this girl was in his consideration, especially if Malik and Kadar had done the same for her already. "Even if their attitudes can be nothing alike at times."
no subject
"I know what you mean," she continued. "If neither of them had said anything, I would never have figured it out."
Whether they shared similar bodily features was beyond her. She could tell by stance and balance and body structure that they might be comparable in size and build, but anything other than that meant nothing to the blind girl.
[Ooc: SORRY! Lost this one somewhere. D: ]
no subject
"Why is that? They bear different robes-" Then again - there was something different about the girl; her eyes, they did not... follow things, from what he could tell. Blind?
Maybe he was the blind one, considering how long it took him to infer. "-Ah."
