If anyone should happen to head off to explore the castle today they might encounter a glowing teenage boy floating several feet above the ground and pushing a hand against a wall with a puzzled look to his face.

"Still solid?  Why?  I should be able to go right through this."

"No offense, but I have no clue what you can do. I'm kind of used to being the guy out in front protecting everyone else." If someone got hurt trying to help him he didn't know what he would do.

"So am I." Duo replied, crossing his arms.

"Seems to me like everyone here is a hero of their own world." Not that he is necessarily a hero, but it's all the same, isn't it?

"What I can do is make sure that if your ghost powers don't work? You have backup. Besides that, some of the doors won't even open for one person."

He makes an annoyed face. "Seriously? That's a pain."

But he really didn't think that losing his ghost powers was something he needed to worry about here. No electricity. No plasmius maximus.

"It would be a pain if it happened." See, you're still a kid, Danny. He's got a soft spot for kids. Even if they can take care of themselves.

"I have no desire to marching into danger right now, but I'll try my luck if you're willin'."

"I was planning on trying to figure this place out today, but you don't have to come."

[stillshinigami]

"What if you run into a door? One of those magic ones? If you can't just ghost through, you're gonna need a partner. All I know is that they only respond to two or more people."

Duo shrugged, looking over at the teen hero. Figured he liked to work alone. Heh. Well, that's fine.

He glares at the wall. "I was planning on taking the shortcut."

[stillshinigami]

"Aaaand that doesn't look like it's a viable option, does it?" Duo said as he started on down the hall.

"Come on." This way. Follow him.

"Hey! Wait up!" Danny twists in the air and launches himself after him.

Duo continues on down the corridor and up some familiar steps where he'd gone with Duo and Toph before. He isn't entirely sure, but he might as well go check out that trolley and that crane thing.

He looked back at the spandex clad youth briefly, then turned his attention ahead. He was looking a bit more cautious now, keeping his eyes ahead but also turning back to look behind them.

Danny swoops forward after him, looking around cautiously. He didn't like the idea of not being able to escape through the walls if needed.

"So you haven't seen the shadows before?" He grinned up at the kid, trying to push up his morale a bit.

[schrodingersghost]

"No? But how tough could they be?" After all the things he'd fought going up against something with a name like shadows seemed kind of lame.

[stillshinigami]

"About as tough as you talk." Duo quipped, heading on into another room with a chain on the other side. Damn this stuff.

"You can't just fly my over to that ledge?"

[schrodingersghost]

"Oh. Right." He flies over and holds a hand out. "You don't get airsick, do you?"

"Kid, I was born in outerspace. I think I can handle a little superhero flying." He held his hand out and took Danny by the wrist in a strong grip.

"...Seriously? That's awesome!" But getting back on topic, Danny frowns and spreads his weightlessness over to Duo.

Him living in space? THIS. This was awesome. He just kinda fell off his feet, his hand free arm and legs kinda scrambling for a foot hold before realizing he didn't need to.

"Well, isn't this convenient? Air Danny. I shoulda booked sooner!"

"I prefer to call it Air Phantom." Danny adjusts his grip on Duo's wrist and heads off across the room at a decent speed.

"Punny. Very Punny. Bet you're full of those." Duo replied as he was shuttled over to the other side.

"There's a trolley system over here. Not sure if we can use it though."

"It's good practice for my witty banter." Danny looks around for a good place to drop him off.

"What's a trolley?"

Duo gestures down on an area of of flat stone on the platform. There was a door leading outside.

"It's a train... cart. Thing." Duo shrugged. "There's a cart and some tracks. There's also a crane."

"...Weird. So this castle has an indoor train?" He drops down to land on the platform.

[stillshinigami]

"We still haven't seen where it leads. Frankly I'd rather have someone who can save my ass if the ground falls under my feet for no damn reason." He pauses a the door, glancing back at him.

"What is it with superheroes and witty banter?"

"...Hey, if it works don't knock it."

Danny stares dubiously at it. "Wouldn't it be easier to just fly?"
