First Omen

[ So it took her forever and a day to get out of her coffin, and another age to make her way to the living quarters. She isn't the hardiest soul, and hitting your head against rock as you fall out of a massive container isn't particularly good for you. However, now she's actually thinking properly and able to walk in a straight line, she's just pacing back and forth. ]

A mysterious, darkening castle... Strange people, and a clear sky. Never before have I been without the oracle! Hmm... No, this won't do at all! [ she stops and claps her hands together. A light puff of dust rises around her face, but she ignores it with sheer willpower! Yes! Tsuruhime's first order of business: find a bow! Don't mind her as she wanders determinedly from room to room. ]

[ Now there's a determined girl if he saw one, except he doubts she's really going to get anywhere for a while if she snoops around from room to room like that. With a faint grin, he walks on over. ]

Oh! [ one of the people is talking to her! Yes, this is perfect. ] Yes, I certainly am. I have yet to find even a single bow in this castle!

[ in the small section of the castle she's explored whilst being lost in the same three rooms for an hour, that is. ]

A bow?

[ isn't that kind of . . . primitive? Then again, it could very well be a hobby, or that she's just old-fashioned. ]

What do you need something like that for?

Why, to see fortunes! I am the oracle of Kouno, after all.

Wow, an oracle! But why do you need a bow for that? Is that supposed to be your substitution for a staff?

A staff? That wouldn't do at all! It would never reach the heavens.

So you shoot arrows at the heavens?

[Willow runs into her as she's leaving the room with the spring, and stops short, glancing at her curiously.] ... Um, hey. Can I help you?

[Gosh, she's cute. But that aside, she is eager to help anyone that needs it.]

Why, that would be wonderful. [ to offer help to an oracle in need! This woman must be extremely kind. ] I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea where I am!

I can't answer that one, sorry. All I've got is "castle".

But I can tell you the little bit that I have figured out? My name's Willow.

[ There were, of course, many places to look for a bow, and on the way to some of those, Tsuruhime might pass by the court yard. If so, she may spot a woman in a fancy dress, surrounded by flowers. She appeared to be working on a bush of strawberries...but also clearly was on edge, because suddenly she whirled around, looking around in every direction, before spotting Tsuruhime. Oddly, she quickly stepped away from the bush and the flowers, until she was on rocky terrain, before waving to Tsuruhime.]

Uhm, greetings!

Greetings! [ she stops where she is to offer a bow and a returned wave, and then jogs over. ] Oh, what a beautiful garden.

It's just some flowers in the corner of the courtyard here, it's not really that beautiful yet.

I'm trying to grow 'straw-berries'.

[The way she pronounced the word suggested she wasn't very familiar with them.

As for the flowers, they really seemed to concentrate around the area she had been in, for some reason. She did seem a bit pleased after 'beautiful garden', despite her words, there was a smile on her face and her shock over someone getting close to her position had lessened somewhat.

Something grown with love will always be beautiful! [ she might have entirely the wrong end of the stick but THAT'S FINE. ]

Straw-berries? Oh, thank you! I am just as delighted to meet you, of course! I am Tsuruhime.

I suppose that is true. I'm glad you don't dlsike them! [She mostly had the wrong end of the stick since the flowers grew around her without any of Cordelia's doing. Which is why she stepped away from the soil, so Tsuruhime couldn't notice that little side effect of Cordelia's abilities.]

Straw-berries, delicious fruit from another world. They are really sweet, although mine are a bit more purple than they should be. I'll have to work on that later...

...Ah, but enough about my little work, how about you? Can I help you, perchance?

[ straw-berries. okay okay THEY SOUND LIKE CHERRIES but maybe she just got the names mixed up. That happens sometimes. There are so many delicious things in this world. ]

Ah, just that! Is this by any chance another world?

Oh, yes, the people I met think so. This sure isn't the world I'm from, and other people I met aren't from my world or this one, either. So it's probably not your world, too!

[Cordelia was happy to be helpful of some sort, and smiled at the new arrival. She sure seemed to be taken everything much better than Cordelia herself had!]

I see! [ that makes a lot more sense. Part of her outlook is not really questioning anything too deeply okay she hasn't get the experience for it. SHE JUST NODS ENTHUSIASTICALLY. ]

If I might ask, why have I been brought here? If there is something I must do..!

I...wish I could answer you, I truly do, but I do not even have the faintest idea. I have not even seen who did it.

Well, maybe the shadow creatures did. I'm really not sure why, though...

[Cordelia found the, uhm, yay-ness of Tsuruhime rather refreshing, actually. She envied the other girl a bit for being so open with her feelings, a little at least.]

wait gasp ] Shadow creatures, you say..?

Yes, they're shadow things that attack you...I don't know why. They are dangerous, so be careful.
