[Exploring is okay, but right now Sollux doesn't really feel like doing that. He's found himself a perch on a broken-down wall with a good view of the island. It's not a bad place. But it's pretty boring with no internet.
Despite the fact that he's sitting up high and one might think he was pondering the mysteries of the universe, or escape possibilities, he's got his phone open and is poking at the guts with a microtool with intense concentration.
Perhaps you'd like to interrupt him?]

Hope this works
In particular, she was exploring the path leading up to a broken-down wall, whereupon she spotted Sollux. She closed the distance, the other person didn't seem to be a shadow, after all, and probably was just another abducted person she hadn't met yet.]
Greetings, I don't mean to intrude, but I spotted you and-
[All of a sudden, her right hand flew to her mouth as she spotted how Sollux actually looked like.]
What in the heavens are you?!
[So much for politeness...]
hahaha
His eyes spark with electricity, his body limned in blue and red light as he catches himself with his telekinetic abilities. In a moment, he's landed light as a feather. He grins, showing off a mouth crowded with about twice as many pointed teeth and fangs as it should have.]
I'm a troll. And you're a rude human, did I get it right?
^^
[Cordelia caught herself from the surprise (never having seen someone with horns before...other than grossly mutated things, that is) and waved both her hands in front of her, as a assuaging gesture.]
I apologize, I didn't mean it like that, I just never saw a ... a troll before in my life!

Well, that'th no big deal. Tho yeah, I'm a troll, a mutated one, but thtill.
no subject
Mutated...?
[Well, probably in a very, very, very different way than her, that's for sure.]
Uhm, we didn't have a good start, due to my blunder, for which I really am sorry. My name is Cordelia. I'm a ...new arrival.
Are you a troll mage, then?
no subject
[He shrugs again]
I'm Thollukth Captor. Uh, Thollukth with an eth...
Actually, I am a mage. Mage of Doom, to be prethithe. Which bathically meanth I'm badathh and deprethhing and will probably die horribly thometime thoon after I get out of here. Are you a mage, too?
no subject
So you're Solluks? Nice to meet you. I'm a kind of mage, yes, but nothing as special as your kind, I think. [Which, technically, was a complete lie.]
But I sure hope you won't die horribly, if you know, I'm sure something can be done to prevent it, right? [That part she meant, and wasn't a lie.]

[She tried a reassuring smile]
If there's a way home eventually, who says you'll have to take it?
no subject
[He shrugs] If there'th a way, I have to go. My friendth need me.

[Too bad she didn't have any friends at home that needed her. She kinda envied Sollux a bit for this.]
I haven't noticed any curses here, true. A cursed city sounds troubling...

I suppose we can explore the place, but I really haven't found anything else to do, that much is true. At least it is somewhat peaceful, outside of those shadow attacks...

Ekthploring ith okay up to a point. But you can only do tho much of it.

Did those in the city have to fight them to drive them off? How did you make it?
[She was clearly thinking more along the lines of Zeus reaching down and causing trouble than about displaced gods making things nasty for a game's inhabitants]

That sounds really troubling... I'm glad you made it through that alright.

If I may be so frank, might I ask what you were doing to the artifact?
[She was, of course, talking about the phone...not that it was easy to tell.]
