Now that the first Duo had been secured, it was time to capture the younger version for Harth. He had no idea why the younger one was so important when it was the older one causing all the problems. it didn't matter anyway. He had been ordered to retrieve him and he would, making sure he didn't stumble into Toph along the way. She would be able to see right through too easily -- just like she had done with Harth.
Heero decided to wait for the younger Duo by his assigned room, already running through different scenarios in his mind. Find out what the older Duo told him, if anything, and lure him to the Pigeon Room. maybe he wouldn't even have to subdue him until the very end. Exploit their friendship from their world and use it to his advantage here. It would be a lot less suspicious and more efficient that way.

Either way, he'd taken his doubles words very seriously, and agreed to keep an eye on the once Vocaloid in the chance that he couldn't for whatever reason. Which is why he went looking for her after the rains started. One minute he had heard her talking to some one in one of the other rooms, the next... she was gone. And he thought he'd seen her in the Pigeon Room, but just as quickly he'd lost sight of her again. Whatever was going on, he was doing a damn good job at hiding. And that worried him.
"How the hell could she get away from me..." he was grumbling as he entered the common room, looking up just in time to not run in to Heero standing near his door. He was going to go look for his double next after grabbing a weapon to see if he knew what was going on, but Heero was a conveniently placed option.
"'ey, buddy. Uh. You got any idea where Haku mighta gone? She just took off and I... lost track of her. Some how."
no subject
Perfect. Things were falling into place and soon enough he'd learn what his sire had in mind for the two of them. Food source was easy enough to figure out, but there was something else. Some grand plan that he wasn't be let in on. While he should have been concerned about it, he wasn't. Harth wouldn't change him and toss him aside when he was done.
Uncrossing his arms, he pushed himself away from the wall and closed the distance between the them. He assumed that the younger Duo wouldn't be able to tell the differences with him. The older version hadn't, but this one actually knew him. "Duo's gone missing too. He never showed up this morning."
no subject
"Wha-- ... shit, really? Damnit... somethin's goin' on, Heero. I don't like this one damn bit."

"They might be somewhere near the Pigeon room. I saw Harth there earlier."
no subject
As he gathered things, he glanced up at Heero, some how noticing from a distance more than he did up close that something was just a tiny bit... off. Sort of like how Haku had subtle differences now that she was human, there just seemed to be...
Maybe he was just imagining it.
"... you comin'?"

Once Duo returned from his room, he took stock of what weapons he was carrying. Maybe he could borrow one off him. Then he noticed Duo looking at him, really looking at him, and he shot him a glare as it to say 'what?'
"Yeah."
This was his idea to check near the Pigeon Room, so he took lead.
no subject
He was oddly quiet, for once.
no subject
He glanced back at Duo, making sure he was still following him and taking notice how quiet he was. It was probably due to his worry about Duo and Haku, but it was still probably something else.
"Something wrong?"
no subject

Stepping into the Pigeon Room, his eyes settled on the bit of blood left on the floor. His, of course, from when Harth changed him. Duo wouldn't be able to tell who's it was, giving him an idea.
no subject
"The hell... did a shadow get some one? There's not very much here..."
no subject
"I know what did, though." He stands behind where Duo's crouched, looking around and making sure no one else was around. It was nearly impossible for Duo to escape him, not with how fast he was now. The only thing he needed to worry about was those weapons. "You're in a dangerous spot, Duo."
no subject
Damn...
He tensed, just barely looking over his shoulder but suddenly very, very still. He could try to run, but as much as he had explored the castle he would still wind up running blind in the storm sooner or later. He couldn't take that risk. He had to see what Heero's first move was going to be.
"Am I now? Tch," he scoffed, "Shoulda known he got to you too. So what'd the bastard do, huh? Couldn't do what he did to Haku so, what, you're like him now?"
no subject
"What does it look like?" He motioned to the small blood splatter on the floor, a small smile on his face as he crouched in front of Duo and got a better look at him. So tense.
"Don't you want to know where your double is?"
no subject
Damn bastard was always just that much quicker than him...
He sneered back at Heero.
"Looks like another asshole to me," he snapped, not responding to the second question. Of course he wanted to know where his double was. He just didn't want to find out the way Heero had planned for him.
no subject
Duo wasn't going to be such an easy fight, not nearly as much as his double had been. This one was in much better shape for starters. He didn't look tired and emotionally exhausted. This one gave a much better verbal fight too.
"I expected better from you. You couldn't even tell the difference." Once again he circled, his body just waiting for a chance to strike and tear into this Duo. Then he could toss him with the other.
no subject
"Funny. I expected better of you. Gettin' bit by some fuckin' vampire? That's weak, man. Th' hell happened to the Heero I knew, huh?"
no subject
His eyes narrowed and he stopped in his tracks. "You'll have to find out for yourself. Go ahead and strike me."
no subject
Rock and a hard place, and there he was in the middle of it.
no subject
Since Duo wasn't going to go at him, he decided to go first. He rushed forward, attempting to knock Duo over onto the floor and pin him. He was fast and strong enough for it, but he didn't want this to end so soon. Things would get boring again.
no subject
His current position kept him blocked from the main entrance and exit to the pigeon room, but he kept an eye on it anyway, hoping to find an opening quickly.
no subject
"Don't even try running, Duo. I'll hunt you no matter where you are." He shifted slightly, quickly moving off to the side to come around and strike Duo from behind.
no subject
It wasn't easy to track his movements, but Duo refused to let himself get sloppy, even with the needless taunting. He ducked the strike, bouncing back several steps. He was closer to the door, the rain pouring down hard over the entrance as lightening crackled in the sky, flashing light through the windows of the room. Still he didn't run for it just yet.
"Any chance you could just tell me where my double is?" he dared to ask, knowing it was likely futile to do so.
no subject
If not, he was more than happy to settle this now and drag his half conscious from into the circle room to see him. Either way was fine by him.
no subject
Duo straightened and grinned at Heero cockily. After a beat he turned, darting for the door. At the last second, though, he wheeled back and took off for the stairs that wrapped up the side of the wall instead. He knew the next room was the long room, which was huge and open, but with more than one way to get around.
All he had to do was outsmart Heero long enough to get away from him.
no subject
If he was lucky enough, he'd be able to pin Duo against the wall and keep him there.
no subject
His scythe went clattering away, but he was on his feet again, trying to ignore how dead his arm was as he went grabbing for it.
no subject
Duo went for his scythe and he took the moment to move for it himself, reaching out and grabbing it right before the other pilot could get his hand on it.

"Ready to go see your double yet?"
no subject
no subject
"I gave you the chance to come willingly. I didn't give that to your double." He spoke before changing his face, moving in with the intent to sink his teeth into Duo's neck.
no subject
He didn't want to stand there and let Heero bite him, even if he didn't have anywhere to go. All he could do was throw his arms up and duck, trying to get through that one tiny space that was still between Heero and the wall.
no subject
"You're not going anywhere." He growled, baring his fangs and leaning in against the pilot. Using Duo's hair, he yanked his head to the side and went in for the kill, sinking his teeth into the skin of his neck.
no subject
Any further protests were gone then, and he made little noise when the teeth sunk in to his neck. His eyes closed, teeth clenched and body tensing for a few seconds before he became a rag doll in Heero's grip.
no subject
Lifting Duo into his arms, he made sure no one was looking again before making his way to the other side of the room, to the circle room, and stepping in. The other Duo was in the middle of two circles and that was where he needed to place this one too and use the restraints. Then he could go find a bird and heal him.
