.7th Fantasy Impromptu [Open] - Friday afternoon/Evening
With the sun returning on Friday morning, Haku had foolishly thought the short storms were done and over with. She hadn't left the common area for quite some time after Duo had found her and brought her back, and though she still didn't believe that she deserved anyone's kindness or protection after what she'd done she had made certain to stick close.
The sun coming out had urged her to at least go in to the court yard, though, taking her guitar with her as she found a nice shaded spot underneath one of the overhanging stone ledges above. She sat on the grass, simply playing her guitar quietly to herself. Being human, it made her fingers hurt much more than when she plucked the strings as an android, but the skill was still there and she was grateful for it. If she no longer had her music she most certainly would have fallen apart completely.
But the tunes drifted out, languid and effortlessly, the sounds carrying in to the rooms and the common area from the open windows for several hours. Eventually, though, it ceased as she took and break and simply let the warmth of the afternoon take her in to a quiet, much needed nap. She hadn't been sleeping well at all since her transformation, too used to having a system that told her when to sleep and when to wake, and with her head resting back against the stone and her arms draped over her guitar she slipped easily in to a nap. All the while she was unaware of the dark clouds that were drifting over, pushed by the same warm winds that had lulled her to sleep.
When she woke it was to the bone-rattling crash of thunder above, and to the very shocking realization that her white skirt was soaking wet, the rest of her very quickly getting there. Rain was coming down in absolute buckets around her, so heavy that the ground had gone from damp to nearly flooding within a short amount of time, the soil too waterlogged to hold it all anymore.
She sat up with a start, clinging to her guitar protectively, staring up past the lip of the ledge that had shielded her from the sun but not the rain. What hit above her rolled off and dripped down the stone in fat dropplets, only adding to the sopping wet ground around her. The sky was dark above, nearly as dark as night, but lanced with flashes of lightening and booms of thunder that made her jump and squeak.
"Nnn--... I have to get back inside..." she mumbled to herself, her soft voice nearly drowned out by the thunder. A breath was pulled in, and she bolted out in to the rain, instantly soaked as she attempted to bolt across the muddy courtyard back to the common area. A particularly soft spot caught one barefoot, sending her sprawling in to it. A splash of mud and water left her and her guitar soaked and dirty on top of that, but she forced herself to her feet and kept going until she finally reached the open doorway.
She stopped and turned around to watch the rain come down, muddy water dripping from her hair, her clothes, leaving her shivering and cold.

"Eeehh..." she whined, rubbing mud out of her eyes with the back of her hand, "I hate this castle..."

"I talked to Toph the other day. Your little boyfriend decided that I don't get to see her anymore. Any idea why that might be?" Yes. Duo the needs ran his mouth again. Are you surprised?
He smiles sharply.
"You told him."
no subject
Her heart sank the moment Harth began speaking, and only went lower when he stated what she had done.
"N... no. No, I didn't."
A lie. A bad one.
no subject
"Play for me, Haku. Then we'll talk about what we're going to do about it."

He smiled, pulling a knee up to lean an elbow on, crossing his other knee. He watched her play, listening to her sing in an unfamiliar language.
Once she finished, he moved close to her. "You're talented." Not that he'd know. He was pandering to her but he sounded sincere.
"About your boy friend. Something has to be done about this."
no subject
No comment about what he'd done. Nothing about the compliment. Just a faint snap of a retort, and a faint pout on her features. So many conflicting emotions inside her, bringing out faint bits of other personality traits that hadn't been there when she was an android.
She said nothing else, her fingers starting to move across the strings again. Faintly this time, though the cords of another song were there. She was doing it to distract herself, to keep her hands busy and keep herself from instinctively moving away from him when he got closer.

"You go to the trolley, there's a door in the room before there, a door marked with a circle chalk. Go there and wait for me. Make sure nobody follows you."
no subject
"If I refuse... ?"
no subject
"What do you expect? For your handsome prince to swoop in and save you? That's not how it works." He takes her by the chin with a smile.
"Something occurs to me. You take someone away like you? Hide them? Spend enough time away they'll just assume the shadows got you, or that you were sent away. Sent home perhaps. You disappeared. Died. They'll stop looking for you." He smiles then, almost through a sneer.
"And then they'll move on. I offer you the easiest way to get through this. You refuse and you disappear. You refuse and I make your friends disappear."
no subject
"P... please don't..." she begged weakly, "Please..."

"Of course I can hardly expect excellence from you. Haku. Do as I say. Go to the room and wait for me."
no subject
"... a-alright... alright... I'll go..."
no subject
"I can heal you. Worse you'll feel is a high. Blood loss."

"And now that my secret's out in the open what do you think is going to happen, Haku?" Tutting her, he shakes his head.
"Twenty minutes."
no subject
Frantic, she grabbed his hand, pleading louder this time.
"Please! I-I'll tell him to leave you alone! I'll get him to back off, to stop whatever plan he might have, anything! Just don't hurt Duo!"
no subject
"Now, Haku. I told you I want to take care of you, didn't I? You're valuable to me. So are your friends. If not in your position, then they'll serve out other purposes. My hand will guide them and we'll be free of this place. That's my plan, do you see?" Make sense now?
no subject
To his question, she only nodded, eyes down and blinking back tears.
no subject
"Now go. And don't leave the room until I say so." He said, standing away from the bed.
no subject
At the door she hesitated slightly, but finally left as she had been instructed to.
no subject
"Haku." He said with a smile.
"Make yourself comfortable."
no subject
The door had been a bit difficult to find, but once there she let herself in, and had spent the rest of the time simply staring up at the high windows, watching as the rain continued to come down hard.
Harth entering got her attention, and she did as he said again, taking her guitar off so he could sit with ease.
no subject
"So your punishment? You stay in here. You go when I say you can go. Eat when I say you can eat. And sleep when I say." And just to enunciate his words, a crack of thunder bolted over them.
"And if you refuse to comply in this little exercise? Well, I can't ruin the surprise. Let your imagination figure it out."
no subject
It was a rather odd question, all things considered, but the only one she could think of that hopefully wouldn't anger him again. She was done trying to defy him. She'd made that mistake already and now her friends were in danger because of it.
She would cry, if that wouldn't just give him more pleasure to see it.
no subject
"Not such a difficult challenge, is it? From what I understand you've been having difficulty sleeping. I recommend you catch up on it."
no subject
It wasn't much of a protest now. Her voice was quiet again, gaze finally looking away. She didn't even really know why she was saying it. It wouldn't mean anything to him.
"They'll know..."
Maybe it was more of a reassurance to herself.
no subject
"Is that you've gone and left. Probably gotten yourself nabbed by the shadows again. Don't worry. You're safe here, aren't you?" He chuckles blandly, almost bored.
no subject
The noise that came out was little more than a pathetic whimper. She curled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them and burying her face in her arms. Her hair hung loose, covering her like a blanket.
"I'm safe here..." she finally repeated dully. It would have sounded mechanical, if not for her now human voice.
no subject
Probably not.
Things'll be different soon enough.
