There's a new creature lurking about the shadows of the castle, and this one isn't a part of the game.

Finding herself encased in the sarcophagi wasn't really as shocking as it should have been. However, the whole medieval castle nasty dangers thing was something she was rather used to. Or rather, what she was used to thanks to borrowed memories. She was used to old Norse/Atlantian ruins with blue rivers that killed you. Not much of a stretch of course, but still not the same thing. The only downside of waking and escaping was the weakness she felt and the inability to use her powers for awhile. They were returning, but she still disliked it.

Doppelganger stood in the sarcophagi room, looking about it and the same way her original would have. Taking in everything she could to deduce the age of the castle, it's cultural origin, and maybe whatever traps lay hidden around her. From what she could gather none of these things could really be told. There was just something off about this place and not in the usual sense.

Turning her back, she started making her way out of the room to explore a bit. Maybe she could even scale the walls a bit to get a better view of her new surroundings.

It did, didn't it? She couldn't help but smirk while she set Duo down against the fountain. Funny little human he was. He wasn't even the slightest concerned or afraid of her.

Taking a step back, she looked about the main room and took in everything again. She even did a little turn to make sure she got all of it. Nice. A lot of places she could reach and get better access or views.

Sleepy, roused from a nap by weird dreams and just a little rumpled, the other Duo stumbled out from his room scratching at his stomach and yawning. He was almost too disoriented to notice that something was off with his double, but the new presence did catch his attention.

"... er. Hi..." he mumbled after a second, letting his hand drop. " 'sup?"

All too weakly, he raised a hand to his young double, waving. What? Didn't he notice him missing? He swooned a bit, raising a hand to his head.

"Oi. Lady. There a reason I've gotta stay awake?" Please. By all means. Can he pass out now?

Instead of a verbal answer, all Duo received was a shrug. That wasn't up to her. If he wanted to pass out in the open, that was fine by her. It was bad enough that she had even saved him the first place, only lessened slightly by the fact he gave her useful information.

The arrival of the second Duo, the younger and drowsy one, peaked her curiosity. Two of them and both human. This place certainly had a way, didn't it? She knew better than to believe it impossible. After all, she was a copy. These two were different though.

She smiled in greeting at the younger version, though it wasn't a normal smile. More sly than anything.

"Uhhhh..."

Crap. He missed something, didn't he? Shit.

"Okay, what happened?"

"Toph happened." Duo replied, looking up at the woman with a thankful nod. He turned and focused what attention he had to his double. Guess he wasn't passing out just yet.

"They..." Oh man. They did. He froze a moment, just letting it all process for moment.

"They made her one of them. A shadow." He hung his head then, a grimace crossing his face, then anger. And what could he even do to change that? All it meant was that Toph was dead, and her soul was stuck with those monsters, trapping them.

This wasn't any of her business, so she moved off to the side a bit and sat on the edge of the fountain. She wouldn't join in on this conversation, but she surely was going to listen to it and find more things out.

Knowing that someone could because one of these shadow monsters was a nice start.

"Wha-- ... sh... shit... man, you're sure? You're sure it was her?" Duo stumbled over his words, feeling a sick sensation turning in his stomach. Toph. A shadow. Rounding people up, no different from the rest of them...

"Of course I'm sure! I looking for her and got caught. Stupid. Yeah. Kinda getting that." Either he's not strong enough or he's just very unlucky.

He even swooned a little. So tired, even felt like his muscles were like jelly. Like his head was cloudy.

"She-- She grabbed me and stuck me in one o' them things."

While the two talked about their friend, she slipped of the edge of the fountain and decided to explore the room a bit. She made sure to stay close enough so she could overhrsr them.

"Jesus..." Duo muttered, hand to his head as he shook it slowly.

"What... what're we gonna do about it? Is.. there anything we CAN do?"

"Hmn. No idea." Duo said weakly. He had nothing to give right now. Even so far as him wobbling in his seat. He turned his attention downwards to the floor. Christ, he could sleep for weeks.

Doppelganger focused on the older of the two Duo's as he wobbled in his seat. That one was about to pass out and the younger one seemed oblivious to it.

"Your friend needs rest." She stated, her eyes now focused on the younger Duo.
