.4th Fantasy Impromptu. [Open Mingle Post]
Out in the common area, there's an interesting sight that wasn't there the night before.
On one of the benches, there's a folded red tunic-style shirt, and next to it, dark blue pants and another red shirt, but obviously smaller than the first.
Next to that, however, there's two very large creates. One has metal and tin cook wear that's similar to a camping set, though some of it is dented, and the metal cooking rack is missing a couple of bars. It's still useable, though. The other is mostly canned, dried, and bagged food. Non perishables. Vegetables and fruit, jerky, pasta, ect. A few packages are torn, but it's nothing that can't still be used. On the top the crate, though, there's several closed packages of what is very clearly beef. Good beef, too.
And just so people don't get confused, there's a note on top of that. Written originally in Japanese, the Castle seems to translate the writing in to whatever is easiest for the person who picks it up to read it.
"Ratchet, Duo,
The clothes are for you two. They should hold up for a while until I can get new supplies.
For everyone else...
I'm sorry I haven't been much help lately. I wished for these things from the fountain because I know everyone needs better food than what we've been getting. I hope this does more for you all than I've been able to.
-Haku"
Haku herself is no where to be found, but if one looks over to her room they might just notice that her door is open.
It's pretty quiet in there...
(ooc: Alright, so! This is a mingle post for everyone in the common area! Pick at the food, mess with the cooking supplies, even look at the clothes but do make sure they get to Ratchet and AU Duo at some point. Poking at Haku is also an option, but mingling is more encouraged in this log. Have fun with the gifts!)

She should be here though. He sighed to himself. Right. He was a hypocrite for thinking that. How was he going to force someone to interact with people when even he didn't want to? Hiding in his room was something he wanted to do right now. Well, he wouldn't force her just yet. He was going to pick at the food first, see if there were any strawberries.

So he'd fought with Heero, and once it was over? Once he was sleeping it off in the end? He never really ever talked about what happened. What he saw and heard, he wasn't going to talk about. Well... aside from apologizing to everyone for yelling and causing a disturbance.
Fuck, man. That was one memory he just had no desire to think about, among others. But as far as some things go? He was glad he didn't have to face that one again. If he had attracted a crowd this time, than imagine what they would have thought if he was actually... yeah.
So venturing out into the living quarters he did find the box of things and the various slabs of meat and vegetables. Oh man oh man. If there was anything that could properly distract him from a bad mood, it was good food. He could feel himself salivating, so he swallowed hard and smiled a bit. Then he noticed the tunic and picked it up. Hm! Well... Nice. Where was Haku anyway? If she's leaving all of this food for them she should be here to enjoy it too!
Oh well. He pulled his jacket off and his shirt and pulled on the new one, replacing his jacket and looking over his shirt with all the cuts and clashes into it. Hmmn.

What few times he had been out of his room and around other people he had been oddly quiet and closed off. He didn't even try acting like he was alright.
Were any of them?
Today was no different, and he came shuffling out of his room, hair a mess and looking just as sleep deprived as ever. He spotted his double looking over what had once been a shirt and raised an eyebrow, gaze shifting to the clothes and the crates.
Supplies? When had those gotten there? They hadn't been when he'd gone to sleep.
He moved closer and picked up the note.
"Haku... ?" he muttered, scratching at his temple. When was the last time he'd seen the busty android around anyway?
"Nice of her but... she didn't stick around?"
no subject
"Yeah. I dunno-- You'd think she'd ought to be here." But then she'd seen him freaking out, didn't she?
..."Guess I'll go check up on her in a little while." He only barely looked at his double approaching, more focused on the food and thinking what he could do with it. He got up and moved over the crate, rummaging around in it to see what possibilities were there.
no subject
"... some one should," was all Duo could say to that. He didn't spend as much time with the android as his double did. Hell, he'd only just learned that Haku's sister had recently arrived, though where she was currently was also anyone's guess.
Still, he worried. Quietly. He felt bad for her, knowing just how out of her element she had been at the start.
"She got some good stuff, that's for sure..."
no subject
"I'll talk to her after we eat." No worries. Remember? Run and hide...
He picked up a package of meat and a knife, plus a cutting board to start work.
"I don't think I can focus on that kind of conversation right now..."
no subject
He didn't really want to shove the responsibility off on his double, but he really didn't know her well enough to help if she needed it.
"I don't blame you. Whatever happened the other day..."
He let the thought trail off. They didn't need to talk about it. They knew what happened, right?
"Here, I can help..." he said, reaching for one of the cans and the can opener.
no subject
"Haku's fine, I though. Maybe tired." He didn't know. He moved to wash his hands after selecting the items he wanted. He'd cook it all for Duo's sake but he figured the others might sooner kill him if he left this place a mess. That or the bacteria-- yeah. No.
no subject
It wasn't a good topic for either of them, but he figured his double probably had it worse, all things considered.
"Hey, it wasn't your fault, okay? Whatever it was... it got to almost everyone."
no subject
"Y'know what? It sucked. And I don't even know what to think about it. I can't... How is it that everyone went through that?" Duo asked, taking the meat out to cut into pieces just big enough for them before wrapping it back up in the paper wrapping and putting it away. He then took the meat in a pan and with the green beans, he started to move over to start a fire.
"And I was acting it out, man. That's not a dream." And he nearly killed Heero too.
no subject
He shook his head slowly, moving over to the fire and sitting down next to it, watching his double closely.
"No one knows what the fuck happened, or why we acted the way we do or why we were seeing what we were. Blaming yourself for... whatever happened isn't gonna do anyone any good."
no subject
He salted and peppered the meat as well as applied the cooking oil, then set the pan on the cooking tray, letting the pan get hot when he put the meat on.
"It's not my fault?" He snorted a mirthless laugh. "And if I had actually succeeded in killing Heero, whose fault would it be then? Ask yourself that before you say I shouldn't blame myself. I hurt my friend." Not even really sure if they should be friends after what happened.
no subject
He stood up, pacing around the area while he flung his arms around. His voice raised and echoed off the walls, but he didn't care. He couldn't stand to see his double like that.
"We're not to blame here! For any of this! And if you start talkin' like that then we might as well give up and throw ourselves off the damn cliff face already!"
no subject
"Don't start with that." He said simply, leering at the other boy with annoyance laced on his face. "S'not what I meant anyway."

So, it was time to go find her. She moved to Haku's room, poking her head in through the door and looking around for the other girl.
"HakuHaku ...?"

"HakuHaku ..." she said, in almost a singsongy kind of voice.
"Why is my HakuHaku hiding?"
Big sis knows alllll ... except not really.

"It's okay, you don't have to tell me," she said quietly, squeezing her hand.
"I'll just be here for you, okay?"

"Thank you, Miku-nee..."
