[Trying doors until one opens is tedious work. His old hands are throbbing. (No, really, don't give him that pitiful look.) But his efforts aren't in vain; Serge grins when a room finally allows him entrance, only to arch a brow at the decidedly bare and boring interior. The one thing that manages to sustain his attention is the smartphone, which he pockets. He figures he can take it. It doesn't look like anyone has been living there, much less own anything in it.

He doesn't stay for long. There isn't much to see. Not even a place to clean . . . After that sarcophagus business, he feels gross.

Then he's at the spring, and it's hardly an encouraging sight. Stepping inside, Serge sighs.]

Are they serious? I know communal baths used to be a thing, but that's in the past!

[ . . . Maybe he can get a nice view or two in the future. Provided they're nothing like Leslie, he's sure he'll be safe. Hopefully. Oh, who's he kidding; this is silly.

He pulls the smartphone out.]

What am I supposed to do with this, anyway?

[He manages to boot it up -- wow, it has his name. That means it's his, right? And it even has a list of other names. He recognizes a few. Serge proceeds to mess with someone while tapping his foot expectantly. And then some.]

[Serge would actually chalk it up to their contract, but that'd just put him in a bad spot because it makes Dynos standing him as out of obligation.]

[Dynos just. Makes an annoyed sound AND THAT'S ALL THE WARNING SERGE GETS before he fires another pulse of energy at him, looking rather pissed off.]

[Serge has known Dynos for a while. He knows when to dodge at this point from a single, and he raises his arms to call upon a physical barrier -- nothing powered by magic -- to lessen the impact.]

Careful. You'll break the tape.

[Dynos looks like he's only a moment's way from trying to kill him—]

[Ah, children. So energetic. He can see how Dynos is related to Cecille.]

[But here you go. He throws the tape in Dynos' direction.]

It'd certainly make me feel better.

[Catching! Albeiti with fumbling, as he was surprised by the toss.

... Well, now that he actually has it, he's not entirely sure what to do with it.]

[Also. Shivering a bit because apparently getting soaked in water makes you cold. Who knew?]

Well, we investigated the spring and got tape for our troubles. [From a mystery person . . . ]

I guess this marks the end of the spring expedition. [Affably,] Go dry off in your room already!

[What is Dynos without verbal abuse.

This wouldn't be an issue if not for you...

[He is never going to forgive Serge for that. Never.]

[Just be glad there were no jokes about birthday suits because that's too lewd even for Serge.]

[Serge stop using logic.]

[THROWING THE TAPE AT HIS HEAD—]

... And don't call me that!

[NOT EVEN GOING TO TRY CATCHING THAT -- he just ducks out of the way with a "whoa!" The tape rolls and eventually falls on its side by the entrance. Wearily, he looks up at Dynos.]

You're the one who wanted the tape, not me.

Well—!

I don't want it anymore!

[Pfffft.]

And you expect me not to call you a kid with that?

[Anyway, going to pick up the tape because, who knows, it might come in handy for something later.]

You go get dry. I'll stick around here a little longer in case you need me afterward.

[And then, between the 'kid' remark and the implication that Dynos might need his help, that was the last straw.]

[Serge might want to run, as spheres of darkness and light form in his hands.]

[Way to take his words the absolutely wrong way and offend yourself, Dynos.

Serge has heard enough of Dynos' incantations to know what's coming up, so he presses himself up to one side of the entrance in an effort to make himself marginally smaller. Please let those beams miss him. He can't just up and defend against that without damage, and it's too late to cast a spell, accelerated or not, though he manages to shout -- ]
