[ He opens his eyes slowly, body feeling heavy and uncooperative. All he can see is dark. ]

Subaru? [ No reply... no sound at all. His heartbeat begins to speed up. His hands press up against something solid and crumbling and cold. ]

Subaru?! [ He pushes at the stone in front of him, breaths coming out quick and shallow. A stone box. And he is trapped. Kamui begins to pound on the stone. Shoving, pushing with his feet, all the while starting to smell acid rain and rotting concrete. Stale, sick blood. Tasting sand in his mouth -- powder from the stone? He can't tell. ]

Subaru?! [ They had been together. Subaru could be in the same situation. He has to get out--

In his panic, he's managed to rock the tomb over, knocking the lid loose. He tumbles onto the floor, choking on his own breath and the dust in the room. ]

[...well, now. That's a familiar voice. On one hand, Seishirou can't help but be exasperated-- Kamui will be angry (to put it mildly) and no doubt attack Seishirou. Seishirou does, at least, have the advantage for the moment: Kamui is freshly here, and Seishirou has been here for quite awhile, more than long enough to return to normal.

On the other hand, Kamui's arrival will likely spur Subaru into living again, instead of being the hollow, worry-filled shell he'd turned into recently. Seishirou could accept Kamui's presence in that manner.

Besides. It would make Fuuma happy.

For now, though, Seishirou is just going to stand safely away from Kamui, on a ledge above him, and wait to be noticed.

It shouldn't take long.]

[ Kamui takes a long moment to catch his breath, and to pull himself back together. The memories recede, replaced by confusion and a different sort of urgency.

He has to find his brother. Subaru has to be here, somewhere. They've never traveled apart; it's impossible. They paid too dearly for the Witch's magic to go wrong.

Climbing to his feet, Kamui hisses as his head throbs. Illness is a very rare thing, and when the headache and fatigue don't immediately pass, unease further twists in his stomach. ]

Subaru, are you there?

[Seishirou considers his options for a long moment. Subaru's distress at his brother's absence his been pronounced, over the past few weeks, and Seishirou acknowledges that. Their bond is something he respects, and he knows there is little to be gained by trying to sabotage it-- or Kamui.

Of course, it won't stop Kamui from trying to sabotage Seishirou, and Subaru knows Seishirou well enough to be automatically suspicious of any of Seishirou's motivations, but Seishirou can afford that. Can afford to reveal himself, for now.]

He is here.

[ Stiffens, eyes widening as he recognizes his voice. ]

You! [ Growls, ignoring the pain in his head, the awful tiredness in his body. Everything but Seishirou. ]

Where is he?!

Nearby. [he might be working to be in Subaru's good graces, but that doesn't mean he has any intention of being particularly helpful to Kamui. It wouldn't do to have a relationship entirely formed on false pretenses, after all.]

He's perfectly safe. [even if this place was not safe, Seishirou would be certain that nothing would happen to Subaru -- and aside that, Subaru was quite competent in his own right.]

[The room full of sarcophagi was interesting, in a morbid sort of way. Maybe it was just because the Witch had sent him to ruins before to find treasures, but it was interesting, seeing the drawings on the walls, the strange lettering. The things people thought were important enough to leave behind was pretty telling after all. Those sorts of things could tell them about who was here before. Maybe even those shadow things.]

[But of course, his attention was drawn by away by a rather familiar voice. Was that really...?]

[There's the same, easy smile on his face when Fuuma spots the vampire falling out of the tomb, keeping his distance for now.]

Subaru's here, Kamui.

[ He startles at the Hunter's voice and looks up sharply--

Only to be forced to lower his head when it begins to throb. He can't be sick now. Not when nothing seems to make any sense. ]

What are you doing here? [ Coughs up the last bit of dust, and groans when his head protests. ] Where is he?

[It's hard not to notice that Kamui doesn't seem to be feeling well. If he was, Fuuma would likely have nails at his throat by now.] You should just sit for a moment. You'll feel better shortly.

[He just shrugs at the set of questions.]

I imagine I'm here for the same reason everyone else ended up here. [Because it was pretty obvious just from looking the people here weren't from this world.] I can't say exactly. But if he doesn't find you shortly, everyone here was given a phone, so you can call him.

[ Stop being all reasonable. :| Kamui picks himself up, deliberately ignoring the advice to sit down. ]

Call him now.

[Oh, but two can play the stubborn game, dear vampire. If Kamui's going to stand up, he might as well actually approach now - you aren't supposed to go near a cornered animal, right? Besides, he has to get close enough to actually offer the phone out to Kamui.]

My older brother is here too. If you call Subaru now, he might follow.

[ FURY. ]

Why is he anywhere near Subaru?! [ Of course he couldn't trust that you'd help. If anything, you're helping your brother. Kamui is practically snarling as Fuuma gets close. The claws are out, and he swings out at the offered hand. ]

[He had a feeling that would happen. But since Kamui's still weak, he has an easy time of catching that hand and pulling it above the vampire's head, though the phone gets dropped in the process. Fuuma just smiles easily, not bothered by the other male's anger.]

They're both here, but I imagine Subaru-san has been doing his best to avoid Nii-san. But he'll surely come rushing to find you, and I doubt you are in any condition to fight with Nii-san.

[ If anything, the ease at which Fuuma traps him is more enraging. ]

That's not important! [ Stabs out with his free hand, then tries to retract it before the hunter can catch that too. ] Why are you helping him?!

[When you get used to fighting someone like Kamui at his best, having the vampire slowed down any makes a big difference. Fuuma lets go of Kamui's hand to dodge that stab, but brings his foot up and around to slam into the vampire, unless he's quick.]

Hm? Who might I be helping, I wonder?

[ Kamui is absolutely not quick, not feeling as he does, and crashes into the rubble of some empty sarcophagi, and rolls to a stop among the stones. He lays still for a moment, breathing past the sharp pain in his ribs. ]

Your... brother. [ Pulls himself to his feet, unsteadily. ] What is this place? [ Why are none of his injuries healing as they always do? Why is he bleeding? ]

Nii-san? [Sorry Kamui, he just has to laugh at the accusation this is somehow helping Seishirou. He almost feels a bit bad, since crashing into that stone looked painful, but hopefully it got the point across.] If you can't keep up with me right now, I don't know how you expect to do much to Nii-san.

It's a castle. It seems to be pulling people from different worlds to this place. [Fuuma doesn't bother moving. He's not about to restart the fight if Kamui was planning on stopping.]

Shut up. [ He remains where he is, even curling in on himself a little. ]

Call Subaru. If your brother follows, we'll just leave.

[Well, he does have to stoop to pick up his phone, rubbing at the slightly scuffed surface of the device, so don't take it as a threat.]

I doubt that would be an option. If we all got our methods of travel from the Witch, one not working would mean the rest likely won't either. [He had tried leaving not long after first showing up. While he did figure that Subaru being here meant Kamui would likely follow, Yuuko had sent him to find a few things, and wouldn't be pleased with a delay.]

[ Curls in a little more as the Hunter approaches, watching as intently as he can manage. Trying to understand what he's being told. ]

We're trapped here?

That seems to be the case. No one has found a way out yet.

[Fuuma heads closer, only to find a suitable piece of rubble to sit down on and watch Kamui.]

That's why I said you should wait until you've recovered to find Subaru-san. You'll be able to deal with Nii-san if you should run into him.

[ Hackles. ]

I'm not waiting to find my brother! [ Will attempt a good verbal lashing, since he's not in shape to do more. ] I just got him back.

[Well, he can tell this conversation isn't going anywhere. But if Kamui was anything but stubborn, it wouldn't be the same Kamui.]

You just left Tokyo, then?

[Subaru only catches the last cry of his name as he enters the room, but Kamui's voice isn't one he needs more than a syllable to recognize. He freezes for just a moment, almost too stunned to believe what he's hearing.]

[Then the stone tomb crashes to the floor and Subaru's hesitation vanishes. He breaks into a run, rushing in the direction of his brother.] Kamui!

[ Relief. If his brother is there, and not trapped in one of those... boxes... he can breathe a little more easily. He looks up quickly, then groans, having to rest his forehead against the stone. ]

Subaru. [ Coughs, his head pounds even harder ] You're safe.

Yes. [Subaru won't say otherwise, not now at least. He knows that Kamui must be suffering from disorientation and a headache and all the other things that Subaru had experienced upon arriving. Instead of worrying or upsetting Kamui further, Subaru kneels down next to him and slips his arms around his brother.] Do't be too alarmed. It's normal to not feel well right after arriving.

[ He instinctively returns the embrace, and buries his face in Subaru's shoulder. After everything they'd just left, he couldn't handle another separation. For a long moment, it doesn't appear he even heard what his twin had said, but then he sits up, more slowly. ]

You're not sick.

I'm not. [Subaru won't even try to deny it. Not to Kamui.] Not anymore. [He while he doesn't want to worry his brother, he's not going to hide the fact that he's been here, alone, for some time already.] The illness should fade before the day is over.

... anymore? [ He still doesn't really understand. He'd just seen Subaru less than a minute...

But, had he? He doesn't remember anything that would cause them to be sent to a place like this. In dozens of worlds, they'd never emerged separated, trapped in tombs. ]

Subaru, what's happened?

I've already been here for some time. [Subaru moves to rise and carefully pull Kamui up with him.] Two weeks, nearly. Any illness I suffered upon arriving has faded.
