"Oh, there are plenty of things that are different from being a human," Haku answered easily. It was so weird, being this comfortable with some one she'd just met, yet she couldn't help but converse with him as she would one of her siblings.

"For instance, I breathe to keep my systems cool, rather than to take in oxygen like a human does. Sometimes, though... I find myself holding my breath when something is intense or scary, just like normal people do. Also, I have a heart, but it doesn't beat like a human's. It's very interesting to listen to the difference."
