"Nnng--!" Duo grunted, flailing weakly to get his other hand on to the ledge. Nothing he grabbed stayed together long enough for a hold. Stones slipped and clattered on the floor below him softly, but that didn't give him any hope for a gentle fall.

He didn't hear the other one above him, but he still yelled loudly, mostly at his horrid luck and whatever deity was listening to him right then.
