[So, Kadar has a room. ...He supposes. The door opened when a bunch of other doors wasn't, and no one else seemed to claim the bed, so he flopped uselessly onto the bed for awhile to sleep. The next morning he noticed what he hadn't the night previous: a weird... thing.

Which he had then dismantled in complete bafflement. What was it? It came apart in different pieces, but that didn't make anymore sense. It wasn't a weapon, it wasn't food, it wasn't... maybe it was something from the future? Like-- Sofia and Desmond.

Kadar had gathered up the pieces, gone out and sat down in one of the chairs, staring at it with clear bafflement. What the heck?

...he considers for a moment, then quickly starts flicking the pieces back and forth on the table. this is kind of fun!]

[He's just passing by and oh, some random person. Not worth his time—what.]

What are you doing?

[There was no sense in sleeping at the moment and in all honesty, Malik could not get his mind to rest quiet so easily, not like it was an easy task in the first place. So he took to wandering the hallways of the place instead. Not certain of any rooms that he had been assigned too and not one to care, he simply walked along to get his barrings, something that was important to him. To get to know the place by sight and foot was the best way to assure that he was not too terribly lost within this foreign realm.

Still quietly though, his mind wandered and eventually his eyes fell upon the empty door in which the man that rest behind was the primary figure of his thoughts. Kadar, he was happy to see him certainly but unsure of the entire situation, another chance to enjoy a moment with his brother in blood but in someplace akin to a prison at times. Still--it could all be a trick, it could all be an illusion so he was quick to be wary about it.

It didn't stop him from rapping on the side of the door frame though.] Kadar.

[kaderp]

[he looks over and offers a smile; it's a hint sheepish.] I'm trying to figure out what this is for.

[kaderp]

[Kadar immediately threw himself over to the door, his years as an Assassin the only thing stopping him from smacking into something like a typical 20-something. He beamed at Malik as he came to a stop, leaving the cell phone pieces behind, easily discarded-- it wasn't as though he needed them.]

Brother! [he's still elated that Malik is here. having him around is normal, comfortable. if Malik wasn't there, Kadar could adjust, he was confident of that, but having Malik near made it much easier. Malik was smarter and wiser than Kadar, and it was reassuring to know that even if they were all out of their league here, he could still count on his brother for advice.]

Have you found a room to stay in?

[dai]

[Watching the other move with haste he arched an eyebrow, backing away slightly and turning to the side. His energy could not be matched but Kadar had always been eager, hadn't he? Malik was content to be near his brother again but the question would always remain as to what brought him there exactly. Still--he might as well enjoy the others company while it was there.]

Brother. [He replied in turn, bowing his head slightly before looking to the room. Noting the pieces on the table he let out a small huff of breath. Quietly he gestured to the mess he had made upon the table of the device that he had yet to explore or cared to.] No, I have not--but I am not concerned.

Are you keeping yourself busy?

[angsts]

And how was... what you were doing going to help with that, exactly?

[kaderp]

You should! [technically speaking, it was Malik's job to look after Kadar-- which he did. but it just inspired Kadar to look after him even more often.] There's no reason you shouldn't have-- these beds are very comfortable! [he gestures at his bed again.]

I do not have any idea what these devices are for... the bed has been fine, but this thing... [he trails off, turns, grabs the cell phone pieces and offers it out to Malik, a little sheepishly.] I took it apart and now I don't know how to put it back together. I am afraid I will break it...

[which, granted, wouldn't be too bad, since he has no idea what it is, but...]

[Sofia has been settling in, herself, and now that she's figured out the basic ropes and introduced herself to a number of people, she figures it's time to find certain faces. The Assassin boy, in particular; she's heard stories about the Assassins of other regions, but the only foreign Assassin she's ever met is Ezio. The rest, of course, are from her homeland, in Constantinople.

When she finds him, she waves to catch his attention.]

Settling in alright?

[kaderp]

Well-- I was seeing if it didn't make more sense like this.

[kaderp]

[when Kadar notices Sofia, he smiles, heading over immediately.]

Sofia! Yes, I am. I'm still not certain what is going on, but-- [he considers, and then blinks, brightening even further.] I found my brother! [so everything is completely all right. he will be fine, with Malik around.]

[big smile]

That's wonderful! I'm very happy for you. Being here is not so difficult when you have family, don't you think?

[pridegoesbefore]

[Looking overly tired, Narcissa enters and shuts the door behind her, shooting Kadar an unintentionally accusing look.]

This is the only door I could open.

[angsts]

It seemed more like you were simply fooling around.

[dai]

I'll take your advice to thought but for now, it's not the primary concern on my mind. [Came his reply as he waved his hand at the other before stepping in more to look around the room, taking in the surroundings as he did whenever he arrived to a new place.]

These devices. [He reached out to take the piece and look them over, arching an eyebrow as he turned it around in his grasp.] They're foreign, either sorcery or far past our time. All these people from other realms indicate that likely the items here will be beyond our current comprehension.

Has anyone offered to assist you yet?

[kaderp]

It is very nice! Much more comforting. I think everything will turn out for the best, if we have so many Assassins here. [and then-- oh, a thought.] Did you find your husband?

[enthusiast]

If anything should threaten us, we will have honourable men to protect us.

[she nods.]

I did. Have you met Ezio?

[kaderp]

[Kadar notes the look and promptly overlooks it, offering her a smile.] It is the same for me. Is your headache gone yet?

[kaderp]

[...sheepishly.] That, too, perhaps. A little.

[pridegoesbefore]

[His smile is so readily offered that she can't help the small, tired one she gives in return.]

Yes, thank Merlin... I'm gathering, from conversations I've overheard, that these are to be our accommodations for the duration.

[Her tone gives away neither pleasure nor irritation. But...

Head tilt.]

And I'm not so sure you ought to have dismantled that.

[kaderp]

Not as yet. There are a few people I have been considering asking, but... [he offers another tentative smile. it feels nice just to be able to talk to Malik again; just to have ideas and discuss them. he had honestly thought he would never see him again, if Kadar was dead and Malik was not.]

I wonder where they came from? Everything here seems-- old and worn, more from disuse than overuse. It seems as though people have not been here in so long... there are so many mysteries about this place, I don't know where to start!

[kaderp]

--Yes! I did not realize that was who you were married to. [Kadar perks up a little more at that.] It's good that he was so close! I'm glad you found him. You won't have to feel lonely.

[kaderp]

No? [he looks at it, a touch helplessly, picking up one of the pieces.] I had thought that it would make more sense if I took it apart, but-- it makes even less sense now!

My confusion aside, the beds are comfortable enough. I have had much less in the way of sleeping arrangements before. [basically, his glass is always half full.]

[Even Ezio doesn't realize he's married, so that doesn't surprise her.]

I'm glad I found him, too, but it seems he is much younger than I am accustomed to. But no matter what, I'm in good company with you, and Desmond, and Sam, and all the other fine people I've met.

No. I believe we're to use it to communicate; don't ask me how, I've no clue. Mine beeped when I touched something and I don't care to know why.

[She moves to sit opposite him, placing her smartphone on the table and folding her elegant hands in front of her.]

Speaking of sleeping arrangements... shall I assume the bed that's still unclaimed is mine? It appears we're to be roomed at random.

[Turkey hadn't planned on hanging around in the living area, but - well. It's not like he's got much else planned when getting around to the interesting areas requires dragging at least one other person with him.] What'd ya go and break it for? Ya that bored already?
