Toothless watched him leave and followed him out into the hall. He stood onto his back legs and sniffed high in the air, and then low to the ground.

Nothing of Hiccup either direction. He was still hoping that Duo would be able to show him to the Viking, so he followed after him, pausing to sniff in every direction for his freckled friend.

Alas, nothing. His walking had slowed and he was drooping, almost wilting, to the ground. He was upset and sad, worried and tired. When Duo reached his room and stopped, Toothless stopped too, sitting back on his rear and ... damn near pouting at the ground. He curled his tail around him and used a paw to pull it closer, seemingly trying to comfort himself.
