As they walked and the dragon became more comfortable, he began walking closer and closer to Duo, until he was nearly step in step beside him.

The human hadn't tried anything yet, and while his hold on that blade hadn't decreased, Toothless couldn't help but feel that it wasn't meant to intimidate him. The human's attention was elsewhere and everywhere and only barely on him.

That did put the dragon on edge, though, and he kept his eyes and ears open and alert.

When they reached the door, he paused and looked up, regarding it with a curious rumble in his throat before continuing on after Duo.
