Blind, yes, but she still could tell where he was with perfect accuracy, whether she could meet his eyes or not. She could tell where obstacles in her path were without touching them. Sight meant little if anything to her.
"Clothing barely means anything," she shrugged again, raising a hand dismissively.
"Just because you and someone else wear Earth Kingdom colors doesn't mean you're related. It suggests you might know each other but it's useless when it comes to figuring out relations."
Then again, the Earth Kingdom was huge. Wearing the typical green of Oma Shu didn't mean you knew someone wearing the accentuating yellow of Ba Sing Se. Maybe that was a bad example.
